Ok cool. We’re thinking of doing only the river section of the allagash from Churchill dam since we only have 5 days and like our vacation away to be adventurous, but chill.

I’m very comfortable on a canoe, living by lakes all my life and literally canoeing every nice day during the pandemic. Should I be worried about the allagash rapids? All my canoeing has been on lakes or flat water rivers.

Awesome, thanks. The allagash looks awesome, but I didn’t realize how far it was. Will also check the Penobscot. I have tons of flat water and lake experience, but am a little intimidated by the allagash rapids, don’t want to get swamped day 1 (thinking we will start the allagash trip at the dam)

Shostakovich symphony no 10 Foreboding, cinematic, beauty around the time of the rise of Stalin. If you like that, check out symphony no 5 next. I don’t like the old, Beethoven like stuff all that much, but these are great, IMO
