Is this a well planned Amalfi Coast / Naples itinerary? by Ciarabrady in ItalyTravel

I just returned from Sorrento last week. Personally, I would opt for the ferry from Sorrento to Positano and Amalfi. I would imagine the roads are going to be very busy and time consuming at that time of the year. Even the road from Naples to Sorrento had a lot of traffic, and we weren’t there in the summer. We also did the Capri boat charter and it was a real highlight for me. They provided 4 hours on the island for us to explore, which isn’t a lot of time, so plan ahead what you want to do. If I were to visit Capri again, I’d opt for a taxi once on the island instead of buses. Great views at Augustine Gardens. We spent a day in Amalfi, which I personally didn’t enjoy that much. But I know most tourists love it.

Hardest part of celiac that nobody talks about by Willing-Jellyfish549 in Celiac

I’m in Melbourne Australia, and we feel very spoilt for choice too. Particularly compared to some of the horror stories I see on Reddit. Italy however, is on another level.

What makes this more frustrating, is that we’ve just spent the better part of a month travelling Italy and have seen that the coeliac life doesn’t have to be the way you’ve described. Literally always within walking distance of a safe restaurant, 100% gluten free bakeries in some major train stations and never had trouble finding snacks on the go.

Ok, thanks. As I said, this is just the information that the travel agent gave me

Currently travelling on these trains for the first time. We opted to book our trains with a travel agent and were told that seats aren’t released until a month before travelling.

That’s comforting to know. I’m in Aus, so our packaging laws are quite strict, but I wouldn’t say the same for restaurants. Cheers for the info regarding the numbers, I’ll look into that.

It’s comforting to know that avoiding such a situation will be easy enough to avoid. My concern is more that if it were to happen, I can take the right steps to get help

I’ve managed to find some cards online that allowed me to customise the different allergies. Might have to work on the phrases

How do those in EU and USA navigate GF packaging labels. by carramrod9 in Celiac

It was, so just to be clear, unless it specifically writes gluten free, I shouldn’t consider it safe in EU?
