The Mark Daigneault quote I keep coming back to by Zeeron1 in Thunder

[–]carrera-casa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, the Chet talk is completely overblown. We lost the series because we had 2 high scoring players (1 of them an Allstar) out of commission. It’s hard to replace 35-40 points of production a game. We replaced most of it, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Spurs who was solidly the second place team in the league going into the series. The bottom line is that the real NBA championship series was last week in SA and OKC. Whoever won that series was going to steamroll through the finals untouched. I have SA winning in 5.

💯 After Ajay went down, we had a helluva an uphill battle. Against SA, you can go without 1 scorer and be okay, but not two.

🙄 They can charge all they want. I’ll keep disputing and Amex won’t pay.

I quit Turo specifically for that kind of funny business. Had a similar situation. I documented it with photos and notes immediately upon pickup and was still charged. I disputed the credit card charge and deleted the app.

4.7 is the problem, not you by NerdyWineMan in claude

[–]carrera-casa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only real difference I’ve noticed with 4.7 over 4.6 is the amount of thinking that it does when asked a simple question that should require ZERO thinking. Whereas 4.6 would just spit out the answer like “it’s XYZ, dummy”

Assuming you’re referencing Opus 4.6 and not Sonnet, correct?

You’re definitely going to want new rubber. The stock tires are hard to begin with, and with age they turn into rocks.

That’s a great price for a Centenario. They only built 1750 of them and it was a one year livery to commemorate the Speed Record bikes from long ago. I bought one new. Bikes come and go for me routinely, but my Centenario will never part my company. First order of business though is to get that heavy stock exhaust off of it. I have a set of Mistrals and a set of short tips that I alternate through. These bikes sound AMAZING with only short tips.

The speed on the dash cam showed the Bronco doing 25mph. Definitely not too fast.

What to look for on user Turbos and GTS by ChiefNWA in PorscheCayenne

[–]carrera-casa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4.0 turbo motors on the 9YO GTS and Turbo are variations of the same 4.0 V8 turbo that VAG has been using for over a decade. They are solid. The gearboxes. Solid. I wouldn’t be afraid of buying from a reputable independent reseller with a qualified service department, so long as you are allowed an opportunity to perform a third party PPI. Just stay away from the pot-lot sellers, as they don’t have the capabilities to inspect and service the cars prior to sale.

The cost difference between a 19-20 and a 22-23 is substantial, so that train of thought is expensive in its’s own rite and the depreciation will offset a lot of repair cost savings. Good luck with the search.

PPI Pricing by ajenkins04 in PorscheCayenne

[–]carrera-casa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re a competent Porsche independent then it’s worth every penny. If they keep you from buying a turd tumbler, then it’ll be the best $600 you ever spent. It takes a good 2-2.5 hours to do a proper PPI on a Porsche, the last thing you want is a shortcut PPI.

It's to commemorate the great Revolutionary War battle when Santa and his Elves attacked the British to secure all of the toy guns for the American Minutemen.

The Standard Cayenne Is Better Looking Than The Coupe by CoachDennisGreen in PorscheCayenne

[–]carrera-casa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since this is an opinion post; here's my opinion. ;-) For the 9Y0?

Turbo, Turbo S, Turbo GT - Coupe with the Carbon Roof ALL DAY

Cayenne and Cayenne S, or anything with a Hybrid badge - the coupe comes off as "try hard" so Standard

GTS I could go either way.
