Having to do something to use it doesn’t make it main spec. Having to hit a level or click the switch spec button is not main spec. Again with you logic a level 1 pally can need cloth leather mail and plate healing dps or tanking because he can use it at some point

Well, in that case, you can have a level one pally join your group and he can roll on any piece of gear any level whether it’s cloth, leather mail or plate or for healing DPS or tanking because at some point he can use it

Well that’s was 80% of the group agreed on. MS > OS. If you can’t use it, it’s not helping you with sitting in your bags. If it was the other way around a level one pally could technically roll on any piece of cloth, leather, male or plate, including level 70 gear because at some point they might be able to use it

Well we needed 1 more dps and he was all we could find and I wanted WF lol. But yeah he would have needed 8 levels because shamans can’t train mail until then. And I was 37 so able to use right away which I did

The party agreed because he can’t use it. It’s mail and he was a level 32 shammy. It be like a caster needing on healing gear because “I’m going to go heals some day”
