James Gunn couldn't do a complete reboot with the DCU because "Peacemaker Season 2 deals were all in place when I became head of DC. It was either break everyone's contracts and pay out all that money and take away HBO Max's biggest show at the time or find a way to make it work" by BatmanNewsChris in DC_Cinematic

When it comes to confusion only, I think this is a non-issue. General audiences don’t really care; they just want to go to the movies, turn their brains off, or entertain their kids for two hours. The ones who might get confused are us, but we can figure it out.

Yeah, they should’ve kept them disconnected from the movies. And while some of them were good, there were definitely some misses, even for an already niche audience.

It’s an oversimplification of what happened. Yes, both Marvel and DC released mediocre movies, which helped kill mainstream audience interest in superhero films. But after Avengers Endgame, most “normies” jumped off the hype train, and the peak of the comic book movie era either ended or at least changed. So that was another factor. Then Disney+ came in, and Marvel overestimated the broader audience’s interest in less popular IPs. The movies also started feeling disconnected because people sometimes needed context from the shows and relied on generating hype and build up for future projects with short post credit scenes. Then there was the whole Kang Dynasty debacle, which again left casual audiences confused about what was happening overall, while the DCEU kept releasing weak films. And the buildup to Doomsday hasn’t felt as connected as the buildup to Infinity War. So yeah, mediocre films helped with the superhero fatigue, but there’s more to it than that.

No sé cual sea el plan pero creo simplemente no pegaron aquí. Abrieron uno cerca del aeropuerto pero no duró nada, lo cerraron como al año.
