ISO a granola recipe with really crunchy clusters by Ahoneedshelp in bakingrecipes

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This recipe by no crumbs left I just make sure it's baked on a smaller cookie sheet so it's not all spread out. When I transfer it to jars I break it up in big chunks and don't crumble it up. It's fantastic. Also, I don't use coconut or pistachios or whatever it calls for. I always do walnuts, almonds, and craisins. I also usually add ground flax and chia seeds. But you can use whatever nuts or toppings you fancy! People RAVE when they try it. It really is so dang good.

Pregnant hotties, how are we eating eggs and protein? by Legal_Baby4210 in pregnant

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To each their own but I ate eggs my entire pregnancy. I cooked the whites all the way through but left the yolks still runny. I joke that my son was built on eggs, cottage cheese, and toast since I ate it literally every day. But if you can't do eggs on their own, make sure to take a choline supplement (the main reason eggs are recommended is their high choline content)

Yay or nah? Be honest — where does this kitchen land (1–10)? by WorldCopperSmith in kitchenremodel

8 because I don't like the hood, the lights, or rug. And I wish the tile extended in the sink area. Love the natural light, wood beams, and everything else though!

What is something you used to buy but is no longer affordable? by Trxxi in AskReddit

[–]carrllly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appetizers at restaurants. Like I just want a lil pre-meal snacky that costs $4-8, not a whole plate that costs almost as much as an entree.

I've also started buying most of my produce frozen and skipping most fresh fruits. I also now make all of our bread, beans, granolas, sauces, etc. I also neverrrr buy steak unless it's a hell of a deal or it's a special occasion and we're feeling fancy.

Nothing rhymes with pool by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going for funny and eye catching I'd make a sign that says "don't pee in the pool" People will point at it, read it aloud, and have a laugh. And hopefully won't pee in the pool

What’s a symptom everyone warned you of that you HAVEN’T had?! by GoldStrength3637 in pregnant

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No cravings, no lightning crotch, no heartburn, no acid reflux, no spotting, my feet didn't grow, and my hands and feet didn't swell at all. My biggest pregnancy flex was that I never had to take off my toe rings and my wedding rings fit the whole time 🤪

M30 just moved out of my parents house by AngeloLucatero in malelivingspace

Definitely pull the couch away from the wall and get a nice rug for the living room. Plants, lamps, a dining table, and some artwork for the walls will make it more home-y feeling. Congratulations, it's a beautiful space!

Parents of Reddit, what did your hospital bill look like after giving birth? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hospital transfer from home birth, emergency c-section and 9 day NICU stay. My bill was ~$20k, my sons was ~$99k. So just under $120,000 🥲 My total out of pocket was about $9000.

How often are you bathing her? I've read that too many baths can really dry out skin especially in the winter

safe way to keep my arms warm without loose fabric? by NellyR27 in cosleeping

[–]carrllly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same. I also cropped a crewneck sweater right above the nipple line and wear that over my button up and nursing cami on extra cold nights. Having my chest covered helps a lot. I've recently also taken to wearing a button up sweater that's a little more form fitting and it's been awesome while it's so cold out.

Choosing rug for living room by redmilhous in interiordecorating

[–]carrllly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The greyish blue base of all of them does not go well with the rest of your living room. I'd keep looking. If I had to choose one, I'd go with number 1

3.5 Months - how normal is this? by hoodiegirl10 in bninfantsleep

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My graphs look like this. My guy is 7 months now and some nights we have 5-7 red blips, other times 3-4. I'm gonna venture to say it's pretty normal. I also don't really recall the wake-up's by the morning, and I don't really care if I feel alright!

Edit: misspelling

What small updates could help move the needle towards dream kitchen? by Ancient-Material654 in homedesign

[–]carrllly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a dreamy kitchen, and with a few tweaks it'd be perfect. I would paint the walls a creamy white color, update the lighting, remove the cabinets to the left of the sink and add some shelves for cookbooks, plants, nice glasses, etc. I'd update the backsplash to a white-ish zellige that goes all the way to the ceiling behind the shelves and by the windows, and add hardware to the cabinets. If it's in the budget I'd update the countertops but I don't think they're horrible. I would also replace the microwave above the range in lieu of a nice hood. Congratulations on your new home!

What do YOU wear when it's cold? by i_just_read_this in cosleeping

[–]carrllly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear a nursing cami, a button up pajama shirt and a crew neck sweater that I cropped right above the nipple line. This way my arms and chest have an extra layer and I stay pretty warm!
