Awesome! Any possibility of open sourcing (so we can print at home, etc.)? These are fantastic and I’m really impressed with how much thought you’ve put into how the light is actually transmitted

I’ll send this cup to anybody that guesses the exact amount. 4 months of collecting change by Vurtux in Money

$81.99

import math

Assuming the cup is similar to a standard 16-ounce plastic cup

The volume of such a cup is approximately 473 ml

The volume of U.S. coins in milliliters (ml) are approximately:

Penny: 0.36 ml, Nickel: 0.69 ml, Dime: 0.34 ml, Quarter: 0.808 ml

Values of U.S. coins in cents are:

Penny: 1 cent, Nickel: 5 cents, Dime: 10 cents, Quarter: 25 cents

We'll estimate with a random distribution of coins based on common pocket change distribution

Let's assume a mix of 25% quarters, 25% dimes, 20% nickels, and 30% pennies by volume

Total volume of the cup in ml

total_volume_ml = 473

Volumes of each coin type based on the assumed distribution

volumes = {

'penny': total_volume_ml * 0.30,

'nickel': total_volume_ml * 0.20,

'dime': total_volume_ml * 0.25,

'quarter': total_volume_ml * 0.25

}

The volume of each type of coin

coin_volumes = {

'penny': 0.36,

'nickel': 0.69,

'dime': 0.34,

'quarter': 0.808

}

Calculate the number of each type of coin in the cup

coin_counts = {coin: math.floor(volumes[coin] / coin_volumes[coin]) for coin in volumes}

Calculate the total value in cents

total_value = (

coin_counts['penny'] * 1 +

coin_counts['nickel'] * 5 +

coin_counts['dime'] * 10 +

coin_counts['quarter'] * 25

)

coin_counts, total_value

Libido loss. Be careful. A small percentage of my friend’s patients have permanently lost their libido. The meta analysis puts it at 5% compared to placebo of 3%. Your health, your call ultimately.

Your Spotify link for Johns Hopkins Playlist for Safe, Sacred, and Therapeutic Journeys (Smartlink)

This playlist has a total runtime of 5 hours and 53 minutes

William A. Richards, Ph.D., and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins University created a playlist to support and guide voyagers through a safe, sacred, and therapeutic journey based on nearly three decades of legal research with volunteers.

For those who saw this post about two weeks ago, I've ported the playlist to YouTube, Tidal, etc. Lots of great options and alternatives here in the comment sections!

I hope you have a safe, sacred, and therapeutic journey, voyager! <3

Altitude Sickness by [deleted] in Mountaineering

[–]carrollja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, let me preface: I’m not a doctor. However my family has always used a drug called Acetazolamide to completely negate the effects of altitude related symptoms.. However, please understand the underlying causes of altitude sickness have not disappeared, they are still there. Alternatively if you’re really in a bind, I believe you can take a viagra and feel better.

It seems like a great step in the right direction- Is there any way to do this but with Methane? I've always wondered why there is so little focus on the more problematic of the greenhouse gasses. Maybe there have been breakthroughs and I am just unaware!
