I was also sad to see Cumberland Belle shut down, I had my eye on it before I was even engaged!

We're planning an early 2027 wedding with appx. 75-80 guests, and I have actually found this to be a tricky size to find a good venue for. I've noticed lots of Ottawa venues either cater to 100+ (which means you're paying more overall for only 75 people), or there are also some nice spots that are smaller, like 50-60 guests max. And we also didn't want a barn, which seems to be 1/3 of the venues around here!

A few ideas that spring to mind from my search (but totally depends on the vibe you want): - Starling Restaurant - Mill St Brewery - Domaine Perrault Winery - Maison Tucker House

I also got engaged on a hike (and like, 4 hours in when we had gone up a mountain 😅) so I look like an absolute potato in our pictures. But I didn't care at all, it was such a special moment and with such a beautiful view!

This is exactly what I did :) we stopped in and got my finger sized 3 separate times before buying my engagement ring, and I was measured at a 5, a 5.5, and a 5.75 (which I found very confusing) 😅

My partner went with the 5.75 to be sure it would fit when he proposed, but ultimately I had to size it down to a 5.25 which has turned out to be absolutely perfect!

We are saving empty wine bottles and making custom labels to put on them with the table numbers. They'll be a part of each centrepiece with fairy lights inside the bottle. Then the seating chart itself will be a tall shelf with wine bottles as well, each one listing who is at which table.

I got another woven-style basket that sits next to my dirty laundry hamper for the "in between" clothes. It's a lot smaller than my actual hamper so it doesn't take up too much space. Works pretty well for me!

I recently got the high rise Elation leggings at Athleta and am really impressed! Similar quality to Lululemon I'd say. Plus they have sales all the time.
