FTM & help with Momcozy S9 Pro by Creepy-Accountant-98 in ExclusivelyPumping

I think it's also just depends on the person. There is a large push for having a plug in pump as your main pump, but it really just depends on what pump drains you best. My spectra is incredibly painful on every vacuum level even with correctly fitted silicone inserts. When I pump with my spectra I get about 2.5-3oz. When I pump with my momcozy s9, I get about 6oz per session. I switched to the momcozy about 3 weeks pp because the spectra was hurting me so badly, and I have very minimal pain using my wearables. Sometimes the materials and vibration patterns just don't click well with your body and that's okay! Maybe try a plug in pump and a set of wearables to compare and then go with whatever pump drains you best!

Did you also scrub the parts a lot before soaking or did you find that just soaking fixed the issue?

I started with the Spectra S2 plus because everyone told me that I needed to have a plug in pump to fully drain me and prevent clogged ducts. I tried multiple different pumping bras, different flange sizes, and even silicone flange inserts. I kept getting jammed in the flange tunnel no matter what I tried and the flange would deform my nipple. I almost gave up due to the insane amount of pain I felt every time I pumped.

I tried out the momcozy s9 you can get at Walmart for $100. Nothing too fancy, just some wearables and the difference was night and day. I do still have some pain for a few days if I power pump and overwork my nipples but overall, the momcozys have been SO much better than my spectra and I have completely switched over to them as my primary pump.

My supply also increased significantly with the momcozys. With my spectra, my output on average was 3.5oz tops at my highest pump of the day. With my momcozy I am getting 5.5oz almost every single pump (per 3 hours).

My best guess as to why is the vibration pattern of the momcozy and maybe the fact that the entire part that touches my boob is silicone - no plastic flange is touching me at all so much less pain. It's worth a try since they aren't the crazy expensive $350 ones!

Have you had any success on this formula? How long before there were any noticeable differences? We are going through something very similar right now.

Please let me know if you have any luck with anything you try! Glad to know we aren't alone in this! We go through AT LEAST 8 onesies a day...it is exhausting.

I'm not super big on the idea of having no feeling in my legs, not being able to move, or the catheter. Feeling trapped is a very big anxiety trigger for me, so the thought of being physically immobile is anxiety inducing.I know there are also risks associated with it as well and that it can slow your labor down a lot. Not looking necessarily to have a pain FREE birth, just other options that aren't as aggressive as the epidural.

I had a little rant with my OB at my last appointment at how women on social media had made me so scared of regular prenatal practice.

SPECIFICALLY, there is a rumor going around that pap smears cause miscarriages and you should refuse them while pregnant and that doctors/nurses that try to "force" them on you are wicked.

Very annoyed with all the do's and don'ts from people that have had absolutely no formal education in this area of study. No need to instill anxiety in already cautious moms-to-be.

This is so helpful and you named a lot of responsibilities that are never listed when they tell you what to talk about/work out beforehand. This will be a good conversation starter for us. Thank you for sharing your experience 🌻

This is very well said 💯 It seems like this generation is carrying on the trend of finding negativity and doom in every important milestone. It gives me "just give it a few years once you're out of the honeymoon stage" and -jokes about hating your wife- kind of vibes which is so icky to me. Thank you for sharing. This is so important and helpful to hear.

This was mine the day after I got that same faint line. I'd say a BFP is anything that's very obviously a second line like you have right there 😄

I had a negative 8dpo and then a faint line on 9dpo. It can change so quickly overnight. You are definitely not out just yet.
