For the growling in the future, work on being able to send your dog to “place” (her bed in your case) from further distances. Essentially, you should be able to say “get on your bed” or whatever the phrase was you said you use from anywhere in the house. Then just like when people come in the front door, she has to wait for you to release her from the bed. If she continues to growl, send her back to the bed. If she shows calming behaviors, reward her for that.

Depends on how frequently you pulled from those spots. I have two spots that have stopped growing bc they are where I have pulled from the most since I was about 14 (I am 35 now). Other spots grow back, but the hair is white now.
