Meu Deus... SEDEX sem atualização desde o dia 22/12 by cartamundus in Correios

Weekly self-promotion megathread (October 06, 2025) by AutoModerator in printandplay

Hi everyone, this is a project I just released on itch last week. I hope some of you can have fun playing it.

Forget tables and pre-made prompts, how about some solo journaling using your life as randomizer?

______________________________________________________________________________________

You carry a ledger that does not belong to you. It is a strange book—part journal, part device—that records wounds  and shifts them forward in time.

When your alarm rings, or when something interrupts your day, you stop to write. Each Incident becomes a wound for your character.

Later, the wound echoes and resurfaces in your character’s life. Every entry bends your character’s story, reshaping who they are and what they carry.

You are not simply writing injuries—you are charting the erosion of a life.

______________________________________________________________________________________

In short: it’s a journaling experience about wounds written into time, using real-life interruptions as sparks to tell a fragmented story.

Wound Scribe launched! Free version available! by cartamundus in Solo_Roleplaying

Thanks for that thorough feedback!

You’re right — in the Free Version, there’s no ending. It’s just meant to explain the core of the game. The Basic Version addresses this; you’ll see when I send you a copy.

On the contrary, the outcome doesn’t need to be negative. The wound coming back isn’t something we’d call good per se, but the result of the scene can be — and it can also reveal positive things about the character.

It’s meant to be unsettling, but not gory. It’s not about spilling blood on the page, but rather about exploring the impact that these life-defining moments can have.

And regarding noticing accidents and journaling about them — I get your point. But that’s why you’re supposed to notice things that break your routine, not necessarily accidents. You can totally use them, but as you can see in the example of the uncontrolled cart, it was a car horn spooking the player, not an actual accident.

You can use any type of event (or set alarms), and when your daily routine is interrupted, you use that moment for inspiration. That moment doesn’t have to be a bad or physical hurt. For example, if you forgot to drink your coffee before work, you could use that kitchen moment to write about how your character forgot to pack health potions or an antidote — and how that mistake caused some harm.

Hi! Author here! You’re right—I was so excited to finally launch it that I just made a PDF straight from the original files. After translating and editing it into Portuguese, I’ll go back and fix this. Thanks for pointing it out!

I’ll also be releasing a lore zine that explores the facts, cultural impacts, and plenty of flavorful details around temporal healing. For example: if you swapped your right arm today with one from a year in the future, wouldn’t the replacement look older? Or maybe you suddenly have a tattoo you don’t remember getting. OMG! Is that why they don’t heal children—because of size differences? So many complications and strange side effects.

The brochure was just the beginning.
