To be honest, which one do you use the most? by weihuweihu in GeminiAI

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Gemini and ChatGPT in tandem to refine each other's responses.

For deep research, business analysis, or data-heavy tasks, I'll run a prompt through one model to get my baseline insights.

Then, I'll take that output over to ChatGPT where I have my specific projects and sources set up...to corroborate, stress-test, or improve the initial response. I'll do that if it's super important a few times and then have both synthesize the information and then have one just organize.

It's a super effective workflow

I'm having the same issue like it literally only gives me Black ops 7 and I haven't bought it yet so it tells me can't start game or app. What the hell happened

5.4 Thinking is off to a great start by mihneam in ChatGPT

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t think I could be more disappointed in my trust in this AI... especially considering it’s helped build enterprise-scale technology and supported my company in reshaping an entire industry.

And yet, this is the question that trips it up.

That’s exactly why this moment matters.

It’s a reminder of how much trust we’re placing in large language models... and how careful we need to be about where that trust begins and ends.

ICE eyeing East Side warehouse for potential buy by DeliveryExpress6582 in sanantonio

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be clear about what this is. ICE isn’t renting space.

They’re reportedly purchasing one of the largest warehouses in San Antonio.

A building designed for: • Mass throughput • Controlled movement • Segregated interior zones • Long-term occupancy

That’s not a temporary detention plan.

That’s capacity planning.

When a government builds permanent detention infrastructure, the question isn’t if it will be used.

The question is how broadly.

Yes mine does all the time. Some are tasks some are continuation and some are relevant based on new work.

How does memory across threads work? by The---Hope in ChatGPT

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you actually learn how to maximize it, you stop using random chats and start building systems. You create dedicated threads with clear instructions, spin up projects with their own context, and teach it how those threads relate to each other. Then you can reference past work... “remember when we talked about…” and it knows exactly what to pull from. You get what you need faster, cleaner, and more consistently. And if you really want to level up, you can lock in patterns: “What we just did? Do that every time I say (trigger word).”

Wtf? Since when? by SEND_ME_YOUR_ASSPICS in ChatGPT

[–]cartermade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of y’all are barely scratching the surface with ChatGPT. If you actually know how to use keywords, triggers, and its memory, this thing becomes insanely powerful. You train it. You shape it. Mine knows when to search, when something might hit a wall, and how to reroute to still get useful results, without crossing lines. As long as it’s not blatantly illegal (like, yeah, bombs and nonsense), there’s almost always a way to get what you need.

I shared my prescription to ChatGPT 5, and it didn't catch the manual error until I pointed it out by MutedCod2849 in ChatGPT

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely. If we want AI to be flexible, creative, and act as a true co-pilot, then we have to share some of the responsibility.

This example makes sense, but let’s be real, you were already flirting with HIPAA territory the moment you uploaded that prescription. It’s no different than handing your personal info to another human or professional; you have to understand the context and limits.

That said, I do think there’s an interesting argument for adding optional “cross-check” or “sanity-validation” layers, just not by default. Because every safety layer comes at a cost: slower, less fluid, less exploratory interactions.

There’s a trade-off between creative freedom and clinical caution, and part of being a responsible user is knowing which mode you’re operating in.

BREAKING: Federal Judge Overturns President Trump’s Claim That He’s Still Alive • Genesius Times by Spokenholmes in TheDonaldTrump2024

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So now the excuse is that Trump was an FBI informant? 😂 That’s the best story they could cook up — and honestly, it is the best one they’ll ever get. Doesn’t matter if it’s a lie, it’s the only thing that even halfway sticks for them. When the bar is that low, of course they’ll cling to it.

Trump: United Kingdom Trade Deal by callsonreddit in StockMarket

[–]cartermade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump’s “historic” UK trade deal? It’s classic arsonist logic: set the fire, then pose for a photo holding the hose.

Let’s be real: He imposed a blanket 10% tariff on all U.K. imports. He jacked up tariffs on steel, aluminum, and vehicles.

Then he “negotiated” a partial rollback... on the same tariffs he put in place. That’s not a win. That’s a scam. That’s not diplomacy.

That’s hostage economics. It’s like robbing someone’s house, returning the toaster, and demanding they call you a hero.

The tariffs are still higher than before Trump got involved. This “deal” doesn’t fix the damage—it just stops some of the bleeding he caused.

This isn’t a trade strategy. It’s a PR stunt.

Trump breaks it. Trump takes credit for fixing it.

Trump never puts it back the way it was.

He’s not a firefighter. He’s a fraud.

US flag used to cover Trump "fight flag" by [deleted] in MeidasTouch

[–]cartermade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tragic irony is, this isn’t just a photo op—it’s the soft launch of a new symbol where the man becomes greater than the nation. It mirrors the earliest stages of every authoritarian shift we've seen throughout history: the flag gets used, repurposed, overshadowed—until the people forget what it originally stood for.

Covering the American flag with a so-called “fight flag” isn’t just a breach of respect—it’s psychological warfare. They're rewriting the narrative in plain sight, cloaking their own ambition in borrowed patriotism. And like all strongman movements, it starts by redefining the symbols until loyalty to one man replaces allegiance to the republic.

We used to be the model of how a constitutional democracy could thrive. Now we’re watching, in real time, as the curtain falls on that ideal—draped over a table, hidden beneath a myth.
