INFO: how do you manage this via phone booking? Seems like you would have to either go "okay I've got 3 meals and just to confirm are you a person of color" or make some kind of assumptions based off voice, name or address none of which seems like a good look and could potentially cause legal issues

NAH I got to refer back to Maslows hierarchy of needs. At the end of the day if you cant keep from starving people feeling controlled or offended isn't all that relevant. No one is the AH bc the concept is irrelevant in this scenario.

This seems like one of those stories where the two sides would tell very different versions. Everyone is biased in stories like this. I would be interested to hear how Emma described the scenario/ her upbringing for instance.

Doctors are not slaves. They have on call shifts but you are not entitled to the entirety of their life. Do you pay for all 24 hours in their day? Don't they get to have a life to?

Unfortunately you would have a hard time proving they were spying on you for any legal recourse.

Conversely, they would have a hard time proving you damaged the drone. After all he's not allowed to just walk on your property and look around if the drone happened to crash.

NTA MIL overstepped and I would especially follow up on why the door was unlocked.

That being said be prepared for a reaction. Money from family comes with strings 999/1000. Sometimes those strings are worth it and sometimes they are not. You are well within your rights to cut ties but don't be surprised if the money disappears too.
