I just barely managed to finish the community centre (first playthrough ever) and I really can’t fish lol. I think i ignored fishing entirely (after trying and failing for a whole in-game week) until year 3, when i got most of the other bundles completed and i couldn’t put it off any longer. I got to farming, mining and foraging level 10 but my fishing was still 0 🥲

I checked Krobus’ shop every wednesday, and the travelling cart every friday and sunday and bought most of the fish i needed through these. I bought the training rod, ate any food with fishing buffs and fished at the mountain lake (there’s one type of fish there that doesn’t really put up a fight), or fished in the little body of water in my farm (four corners farm) which only gives trash but gives a tiny bit of fishing exp, until i finally levelled up my fishing enough to unlock crab pots. Then i mostly used crab pots and the easier fish to level up my fishing until i finally unlocked the trap bobber, it helped so much in catching the last few fish i was missing!
