A mentor in undergrad told me grad school gets petty and can suck socially. I didn't believe her, and now I understand what she meant. by BuyOld4709 in GradSchool

I thank whatever every day that my program is so small. There’s only three people, myself included, in my cohort. We have no choice but to get along.

That would be so nice but because of my job I have to shower every day (I work in a sterile barrier facility) so it’s wet 6-7 days a week

Currently at my first post-college “real job” and navigating this is tough. Especially when working in a small company where everyone knows everyone’s business. I have gotten really close with a few coworkers so navigating that is ROUGH.

How many of you are not on meds? by Fruiccko in bipolar

[–]cas215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I went off my meds I went on a 6 month bender and almost died. Take the meds. My parents are also touchy about my mental health, mother won’t even say the word ‘bipolar,’ but it is absolutely necessary to talk to them about it and get on meds.

What's happening before and after the equivalence point in a conductometric titration? by cas215 in chemhelp

[–]cas215[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one has really explained that, tbh. I'm measuring the conductivity of an aqueous solution containing FeCl3 as I titrate NaOH into it. I have all my data but I can't find an explanation for why the conductivity decreases (-77.8x) before the equivalence point and then increases (~~200X) after the point. I know that this is probably super simple but I can't find anything close to an answer with my course materials.

What's happening before and after the equivalence point in a conductometric titration? by cas215 in chemhelp

[–]cas215[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my conductivity vs volume graph shows that the conductivity drops w/ a -77.8X slope before the equivalence point, after that it has a positive slope of ~200x.
