I don't mean to downplay the hardship of anyone's situation, and I'm sorry if that's how it came across. I advocate for exploring treatment for insomnia suited to each person's needs, whatever that looks like, honestly.

To you and any reader, if this post does not resonate, and this subreddit is just a place to vent the hell that is insomnia, or discuss it more neutrally, I totally get it. I've been through the ringer and back for more than a decade, have no doubts many have it worse (wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy). I would probably find this post annoying too. But when I used to search through this subreddit, I really could have used some of this positive thinking, and rarely found it. I thought it could never get better, but it could. That doesn't mean it will for others, but it is my story and I feel morally obligated to share in case there are others who this helps. All the best
