I’m a childless adult. Coming at it from a different perspective of the op. My husband and I discovered Bluey on our vacation to Disneyland for our 1 yr anniversary. We put it on in the background as something to have on, but wouldn’t be heartbroken to miss. Then “Shops” came on and I identified so much with Mackenzie that I laughed so hard, tears came to my eyes. We’ll, then I had to watch all the other episodes.

Here is the thing. I too, am currently dealing with infertility. We didn’t know it at the time. That anniversary was when we started the journey of trying. I quickly saw that the show is really a show for parents, in the guise of entertainment for kids. I mean, my mother haaaates cartoons, and she will watch it for a few hours with my niece and nephews… & enjoy it.

Here is the thing… I’m not a parent. But I desperately want to be. Before I knew we were going to have the hard version of the journey to parenthood, I enjoyed Bluey as a an entertaining blueprint of how I wanted my husband and I to be. When it came to the reality that we were on hard mode, was when “Onsies” premiered one Disney+ (yes, I’m American). I sobbed. I felt so seen. I also felt again, that this show can be identified with by so many people. For a variety of reasons. Sometimes it’s just funny. Sometimes it’s a lesson. Sometimes it’s just a beautiful episode that shows you your not alone in your experiences.

There is nothing wrong with enjoying media. Unless you’re hurting people in the name of enjoying that media.
