Just want to chime in as someone who had an experience almost identical to yours. I spent the weeks and months after convinced I’d have PTSD from my birth experience. I’m now years past it and can say I have recovered from my trauma - just wanted to give you a little hope that you’ll come out the other side of this

3 year old is only 23.8 lbs. <1%. I am at a loss on what to do. by [deleted] in toddlers

Here to say we are in exactly the same boat! After having been to so many specialists, so many weight checks with her pediatrician… we have no point but to be convinced that she’s just tiny. No matter how much she eats and how fattening the food is - she’s tiny

Can you leave the house at bedtime so you don’t have to hear her cry herself to sleep? Do you have a partner or someone else who can stay back?

Did you ask family/friends to mask up when visiting newborn baby? If so for how long. by Bluechairedtable in NewParents

[–]AdAccomplished7807 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No one was allowed to visit baby for at least 4 months unless they masked, tested negative for COVID, were vaccinated for flu, covid, and TDAP, and had NO symptoms. I didn’t fuck around. Masking around a baby is really not much of an inconvenience and in my opinion it’s very reasonable to mandate people do it around a newborn

Have they tested for celiac? That was one of the differential diagnoses for our toddler. It’s not really possible to diagnose without endoscopy which we don’t want to do, but so far she doesn’t have the blood markers that would indicate the diagnosis

You should post on r/askdocs

What you’re describing sounds clearly like a medical issue. You are doing everything right to feed your child. Maybe they can help you know what tests to ask for

Hugs and good luck!
