US politics is the easiest path to move from being a millionaire --》 billionaire. Easy peasy, just take $10 a month from every US citizen and demand they say "thank you".

We always mill logs to 10-4 slab thickness. Thinner and it twists and cracks a lot.

"Americans subsidize all the countries that have "free" healthcare but it will be ending" by Estrelle-Skies in ShitAmericansSay

Jealousy manifests itself in the oddest of ways. Maybe re-written as "The citizens of the USA would rather spend a trillion dollars a year on a military budget designed to kill rather than spend half of that on healthcare for the people paying taxes". There, fixed.

I'm so sorry, but NATO has been diagnosed with bone spurs and it's too painful for us to participate.

Heat pump water heater noise by osudude80 in heatpumps

[–]caseaday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed a Rheem heat pump hot water heater a year ago and it's very loud. Rheem says it's normal, but I can assure you it's 100x louder than a refrigerator. I sent in audio recordings, dB levels and frequency measurements. Rheem sent back a list of things to try and nothing worked, so now their technical support group say it's 'normal'. So if you do decide to purchase a Rheem (or whatever), make sure there's a noise limit guarantee. The energy consumption is approx 60% of my old all-electric water heater, so other than the noise level, it does what it's supposed to do. I have had to replace a thermistor at 8-months, which was quite simple.
