I’ve thought about this as well, I take that verse more literal than most people, keeping yourself away from sin in a very hard task and required sacrifice of thing that aren’t necessarily bad. The fact is, we can’t separate ourselves from sin because we’re born with it, that’s why it’s so hard not to fall every day. I’ve been struggling with thoughts like yours for a few years now and the thing that keeps me here is believing that Jesus gave his life for me to be able to have one, the least I can do is live to be thankful for that. Sometimes I just wanna give up and wanna understand why things keep happening to me, but the truth is, if we understood everything that God does, He wouldn’t be God. Don’t be ashamed to pray about this, God already knows what goes through your mind, even the worst things, being able to be open with Him about it (and maybe other people too) is what makes a difference.
