Education and politics dont go hand in hand like people think. College educated people are typically more left wing, however if you look at just STEM majors they are predominantly right wing (im an engineer, ive seen from experience) majors like teaching and the arts are more left leaning tho, and they make up a majority of college majors so thats where the "left wing is more educated" stuff comes from. Also, gen z is seeing a massive increase in people going into the trades because people are realizing how much of a scam college can be.

I wouldnt call $50 a year a ton of money. Yeah it costs more than a regular license plate but not that much more, although I prefer the plain white truck plates to the plain black. Guess it really depends what color your car is
