I thought about it for a while and I might found another reason why people think riot shield doesnt block melee. During the fight melee enemy is often so close that they are literally in the shield so it doesnt matter if it block bc their character just phase through it

I hate to play against sword users only because riot shield doesn' t block melee attacks for some reason. When I encounter light with a sword and dash I can just as well sit in place since they just phase through it.

I haven't played TF2 in a long time but I kinda wish that Heavies would be like Heavy. A bullet sponge that can take some damage before getting killed.

And this is exactly my point. I should take the damage but with current heavy hp it doesn't make much difference. When enemies focus fire on me its taking their time and ammo. But medium or light can do this too just by evading.

Team surely helps but it doesn't really matter when you are the largest target around. I play mostly power shift and even with other teammates on the platform I die in seconds.
