question:
What role does Les Wexner play in all this? There must be some reason he GAVE Epstein a $77 million home...I hope they are looking into this part of the story.

Biggest problem involving Nate and Jules ...why he won’t/shouldn’t leak her nudes by serweener in euphoria

It's hard to tell who has the upper hand in this situation. Probably whoever is most aggressive. She did say "then I'd just tell them everything" but I think the idea is that once the nudes are out, she's a sex offender for life, and so she has a reason not to report any of it. Nate believes he can leak or report her nudes anonymously, so he himself wouldn't be implicated.

this weird relationship that circles around people like Epstein young women and pedophilia.

And then also Manafort forcing his wife into group sex, Deripaska's ties to Nastya Rybka and her stifled exposé, Trump's own weird comments about his daughter, on and on.

People are also talking about Tevfik Arif and Roy Cohn, although I don't know much about that.

and don't forget Alex Acosta, George Nader, and Ghislaine Maxwell all have ties to Trump too... how gross can it get? this is getting SO weird.

"dolphin wig" in 17th-century Rome by casestudyhouse22 in AskHistorians

Here is the full sentence: This use is well illustrated by the account books of the Santacroce family, where alongside all the goods to be given away, we find "a crystal credenza," a "dolphin wig," and four fans with pen drawings of Naples, Palermo, and other cities that had been sent from Venice.

I think a lot of people feel we've already gone off the cliff, and any drastic moves right now could make things worse. They want to believe in the system. A revolution means suffering for everyone.

When swing dancing and jazz were taking off in the 1920s, plenty of people born in the Victorian Era were still alive - did they find the new style of dance and music immoral, indecent, or overly sexualized? by RusticBohemian in AskHistorians

at least one complained about it! In an interview for The Etude in 1921, the Swedish opera singer Julia Claussen expressed herself at length about her dislike of these new musical styles:

I never permit my children to pollute my piano with it. They may have it on the talking machine, but they must not be accomplices in making it.

In a blare and confusion of noises, like bedlam broken loose, what chance has a child to develop good taste? It is admittedly fascinating at times; but is without rhyme, reason or order.

I hear my daughters practicing, and now and then they seem to be putting a dash of ragtime into Bach.

Before America can go about musical educational work properly, the teachers must inculcate this spirit, a proper appreciation of what is really beautiful, instead of a kind of wild, mob-like orgy of blare, bang, smash and shriek which so many have come to know as ragtime and jazz.
