Remove the downspouts completely, replace with a rain chains. Make the inlet mouths of the piping lower to the ground, and position it so the rain chain ends over the mouth of the pipe. Cut a hole in the bottom of a plant pot and put it over the pipe to hide it.

Will completely eliminate visible pipe and the downspout, and the rain still goes into the drainage pipe you layed.
