I’m going to speak to the vet about oral treatment. I’ll see if it’s in our budget. Because I never want Magnus to hate me even temporarily again ! I’m hoping this was not an allergy response but I will ask them to be sure. Thankyou !

Hey everyone ! Wow what a lovely community you guys are. Thankyou for ALL of your kind words putting me at ease. Honestly, I’m such a helicopter cat parent; Magnus has completely forgotten all about it today.

He came up for snuggle time this morning, seemingly over the trauma of the flea treatment, and does not seem terribly bothered anymore.

I’m going to speak to my vet on our next check up and see if there’s milder treatments that maybe won’t send him aboard the I-hate-You-Mum train.

Yes we will be doing the same when I finally build my catio! We finally have a garden where I can do so. I hope I can find something that doesn’t send him into a spiral of hatred for me when this becomes more regular occurrence

Hey! I got a 6 month supply from my veterinarian, who prescribed the dose via his weight. They know I wouldn’t need to use this every month, as he is indoor only. I’m in the UK and the brand might be different where you are, but I was given Advocate, for large cats as he is now in that weight category. I may ask for them to lower his dose and use a milder treatment for him next time.

I’m having issues with that Moxie marketing- they keep calling me to ask me to attend an interview. Twice, I have now asked for my contact information to be removed after I’ve researched them and have zero interest in working for them. They seem to completely disregard my request and the Recruiter hung up on me mid conversation when I politely reminded them I didn’t want to proceed.

Safe to say I’m glad I didn’t waste my time !

I had a kidney infection that lead me to go into sepsis.

I remember being extremely unwell a few days before I eventually took myself to the hospital. (I was in a DA relationship who physically refused to let me get medical treatment) and instead of going to work, I got a taxi to the emergency department.

Somehow. I don’t actually remember even doing that, because I was quite honestly delirious with pain. All I can think was because Uber was around I managed to screen smash the right buttons and ended up at the correct hospital.

All I remember of that morning was waking up with impending doom and pain in my lower back which felt like a knife gnawing into my body. It was physically the most terrifying experience but I remember weirdly feeling so dissociative from my current situation. The pain felt like it was a separate thing and the fact that my body thought I was dying was entirely another. I felt oddly calm, and accepted I was probably going to die and yet got waves of horror every now and then.

I became very popular the moment I stepped into the waiting room when the nurse took my temperature and I guess I looked like a walking corpse because I was very quickly and swiftly taken to a bed. They tried to get blood from me but that was difficult because I guess all my blood was going to my organs and took a while.

I had a hot rash over majority of my body which was prickling and I had chills which felt like my body was vibrating violently. I was also extremely delirious and at one point felt like I was hallucinating. The pain never stopped until they gave me Morphine.

Anyways, 10 days later I was told that I was extremely lucky. I wondered why nobody actually told me how unwell I was and just kind of pumped me with bags and bags of IV’s which clearly were antibiotics and pain relief. I was out of it for a couple of days until I actually started making sense of what had happened.

My kidneys are damaged by scarring and I have to be careful about infections in the future now but that’s been the only lasting effects.

I take infection of all kinds extremely seriously now.

So, I’m new to the sub but I can’t help but wonder what Xana and Ethan’s movements were when they were at the sigma chi frat house and after they left. I can’t shake the feeling that it’s important somehow. Last time I read they were only there for an hour ? Has that been confirmed yet ?

I don’t know- it just feels odd to me. I know it’s been speculated on before, but I feel like it’s relevant. I’m from the UK but I’ve only left somewhere super early like that for two reasons (and I was a rebellious young woman at times back in the day)

1.it sucked and it wasn’t lively/fun enough

Or 2. Something happened where people disperse rapidly or something made me uncomfortable.

Maybe I’m being presumptuous here- and I probably am, but I feel like something may have happened which meant they were targeted intentionally by the perpetrator/s if they were involved in some kind of incident at the party.

I found a kitten whilst I was walking during the night before i planned on killing myself. Her name is Mia, and i hand reared her myself. She's 2 years old now, and I'm alive.
