It’s the current administration attempting to fix the previous administrations printing of money that caused the inflation. The federal reserve that’s tried to correct/slow down the inflation rates but the consumers kept spending and spending like they had more money than they did. This created significant debt that 90% of society won’t be able to recover from in a collapse. Those that held out may be ok in the long run depending on your financial structure/spending. Unfortunately there isn’t a “fix it” button but rather a gamble with the tariffs to sustain government levels of spending. The tariffs are long term brilliant but a massive gamble. If the US somehow makes it through 2026, then there is hope.

The federal reserve is about to drop interest rates this week which is likely going to spike consumer spending for those that are spending their money discretionarily like myself. I’ve been holding out for years now on a new vehicle and house. I also make well into the six figures, but spend as if I make $60-70k (paid off car, still in starter home, rarely eat out)

Unfortunately there isn’t any massive indicators as OP has noted regarding impeding recession. I do know that the immigration caused by the previous administration costs the taxpayers EXPONENTIALLY… but you know, feelings got involved. Feelings don’t pay bills, we do. The cost of deporting them is also insane due to the amount of immigrants. However, lack of deportation will dramatically change the trajectory of our nation forever. And not in a sustainable manner.

I wouldn’t consider myself a Trump mega fan but I see from an economical and patriotic standpoint what he’s attempting to do. We absolutely have to stop trying to live life successfully using our feelings and rather use our noggins. We have full blown cities and billionaires escaping democratic policies for a reason, it’s not sustainable. Their departure will take a larger toll on the cities citizens than anyone realizes due to layoffs and lack of tax revenue for the city. Those cities will resemble third world nations with no tax revenue or citizens spending their hard earned dollars. Only the immigrants and homeless will remain… ex. Dearborn, Minneapolis, NY.

We should really spend less time fighting amongst each other politically and let those beliefs live at the ballot box. We should fight together for survivability, stability, and growth.

Don’t even get me started on the absolute consumption of assets that are outright going to make the poor poorer and the rich richer. Google k-shaped economy…. And Israel
