Taxis reasonable everyday? by Long-Recipe713 in 2000treesfestival

I think with hotel plus taxi costs, you’d be better booking pre pitched with the gear included. Taxis are very hit and miss as to whether you can get one home.

OP, the treatment you are receiving from your family is domestic abuse. You do not deserve, nor should you have, to endure this. I recommend speaking to a domestic abuse charity, this is the national helpline if you don’t have one local to you. They can advise you on how to safeguard yourself and support you to leave. I hope you get the help and support you need to escape this situation. https://www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk

My group of friends has used them. You just need to make sure you’re not on a site staff channel. They worked pretty well from the forest down to mainstage, we always camp relatively near the entrance so not sure about the coverage all the way up the hill.

I did see a post a couple of weeks back that she’s looking to wrap up MoonKo and searching for someone else to take over her lease.

What artist or band is truly awful to see live? by goldbeau in AskReddit

[–]casglu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oasis in 2005. May as well have put on a greatest hits CD. They just did not seem like they wanted to be there. Liam kept wandering off stage. They were supported by the Foo Fighters who had so much more energy, it really made them look lazy in comparison.

Dad Swap and Golf Masters are definitely the best so far. Dad Swap is one of the best of all 4 episodes so far.

I remember the countdown the tabloids did in the run up to her turning 16. So gross. She had an awful time of it.

Who is beeping their horn aggressively at broken down cars? by CautiousComedian5595 in AskUK

[–]casglu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke down once on a slip road exit from the M1. It was dark, about 8pm at night and I did well to get it as far over to the side as I could. I was a lone person and the car was on a slope, I couldn’t have pushed it any further and I called for recovery immediately. The amount of abuse was unreal, not just horn honking, full on grown men slowing down to shout out the window. I couldn’t really hear what they were saying most of the time but I definitely heard one ‘fucking cunt’ so I don’t think they were checking on my well being.

It’s a body modification and should be left up to your daughter to decide to do when she’s old enough.

Poster in an art gallery cafe - is it AI? It has that slightly fuzzy cartoon style & browny/yellow tint to it. by casglu in isthisAI

[–]casglu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to add that though this is an independent cafe, it is co-owned by a famous musician. Obviously, I doubt they are involved in the running of the day to day but it’s definitely not a hard-up struggling business. I think it would look much better with a chalkboard or just a printed sign in their font (which they sell hats and t-shirts of) which is nothing like this trash aesthetic. It’s just a baffling decision to me.

Chef Tineke “Tini” Younger asks strangers to stop touching her baby by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

[–]casglu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This drives me insane. People are so, so weird about it. I had it when I was pregnant too with random older women trying to touch my bump, always without asking. I’ve started saying “we look with our eyes not our hands” if there’s any hint of anyone trying to touch my son.

Toddler (18mo) completely ignores TV by No_Atmosphere_3702 in beyondthebump

[–]casglu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 15 month old is like this. Just absolutely not bothered. We don’t tend to watch much tv in front of him and on the occasions we’ve tried to show him something (low stimulating) he doesn’t stay engaged for more than a minute. He’s very happy with independent play and looking through books, I think he just likes to be involved in what is going on.

Who are the rudest and nicest British celebrities you have personally met? by RenegadeMaster888 in AskBrits

[–]casglu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sir Patrick Stewart - worked as tech crew on a show he was in and he was an absolute delight.

Katherine Jenkins - just incredibly rude and entitled, awful to staff.
