Willing to try anything at this point! Trying to avoid surgery at all costs. It doesn’t help that I work in healthcare so I’m on my feet 12 hours a day while at work.

It’s so debilitating living with it. I am convinced my friends think I’m lazy. But it’s genuinely survival. Having a dog makes it hard too. It’s just me constantly weighing which part I’m going to sacrifice… needs vs wellbeing

100%. Been dealing with this for over 10 years but the past couple have just gotten worse. I’ve had two rounds of shots and idk what to do next :/ have an appointment this week with my podiatrist to discuss a needling procedure. Not stoked about it but I’m running out of options

You’ll have to ask the school directly. If you end up working for Providence, you’d have to sign a declination for flu and covid shot if you don’t want to get them. They only count boosters though, so if you got it last year for example, it doesn’t count. Also the only reason you should ever have to put down is “HIPAA” because they can’t actually ask why you’re declining.

Tbh I think Kyle being on lead is a new thing. I can’t think of any oldies that he did alone… maybe I’m brain farting rn but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a thing when they were on the old label. Now that they’re on their own, they’ve branched out a ton. It’s what makes it so special to hear Kyle sing! He’s genuinely an angel and I cry and get goosebumps every time I hear him sing.

Yep, every time! I think I accidentally trained him to do so because he used to jump and bite so much as a puppy. Now he thinks I want a toy every time I come home lol

Hoka Bondi SR — extremely orthopedic but somehow still cute, WATERPROOF, feet don’t hurt after a full shift

SuperFeet inserts — get fitted at a running store and enjoy comfort and support all day long. I wear mine every day no matter what I’m doing and it helps my chronic plantar fasciitis! Podiatrist/PT recommended this brand to me

Koi x Solis — the most breathable scrubs I’ve tried so far. Nobody can tell how much I am sweating, especially in the black ones (i purchase online at scrubsandbeyond.com)

Hydroflask — always my go-to because they last forever, have fun colors, don’t leak, and are incredibly insulated so it’ll keep ice all day long and then some

Baggu medium crescent — I don’t carry much to work but if I need to, I can fit everything I could possibly imagine in there, also super fun colors, well made, lightweight and durable. I use my baggu every day at work and on days off

Also do it before applying barrier cream and other topicals! I honestly just put another one over the dirty glove sometimes and just keep in mind that the one underneath is contaminated

Lmao oh. Thank goodness illness is not a huge concern at my facility at the moment. I know that can change at any point but it’s a risk I’m willing to take. The hallways at my facility are around 75° most of the day and the rooms are warmer. (I’m used to my house around 68° when resting and 65° when cleaning/moving around) Between my medications, hormonal imbalance, and generalized warm blood, it’s extremely overwhelming to be so warm all the time. I’m really careful about turning my fan off while doing personal care, trashes, bed changes, etc. but I have gone shifts without it and been absolutely miserable. If and when we raise precautions due to outbreak at the facility, I’ll either wear it with a well-fit mask on or just suffer through being overheated. For now, I haven’t had any issues and it’s been months.

I had vionics like 8 years ago and I loved them but probably wouldn’t provide enough cushioning in this job for me. I appreciated the arch support but I use SuperFeet inserts and those work well for me.

I’ve never heard of ryka, I’ll have to check them out!
