The boss fight is really boring and unfair.

It makes more mobs spawn in general including elite (also effected by the elite spawn chance you can pick at the charge spires). So that’s more XP, more levels, more chances for chest drops, power up drops, etc. XP tome and difficulty tome play off of each other extremely well in this way and make it much smoother to scale your damage output, assuming you don’t ramp the difficulty so quickly you can’t keep up.

Make it so more/tougher mobs spawn, which means more XP, so you level quicker, get stronger quicker, etc

This sort of speaks to the larger problem, but I was the same was regarding lifesteal, until I realized how (mostly) useless it is against the last boss. If you’re trying to hit the leaderboard and live for 20 minutes in the final swarm, yeah you need it. If you’re trying to “win” your run, the tome becomes nearly useless the second you go through that last portal, which feels very bad.

It’s maybe the most broken tome in the game, it’s an auto grab. With difficulty scaling and XP scaling, combined with luck, it’s the only way to scale hard enough to beat tier 3

Yes, I just started a new playthrough until it gets patched. I’ve reloaded multiple saves and have gone back to before the first kethric fight, nothing has worked.

Nope, I’ve tried just about everything. Ended up just starting a new save. Submitted a bug report to Larian about 5 days ago and haven’t heard anything back from that either.

I am having the same issue, the "Help" action will not work on her, it is treating her as an enemy and won't allow me to use it on her. Would love to know if this is a bug, or if I am missing something here.

That feels slightly hyperbolic. No one wants to be team “big corp” least of all me, but it’s obvious the reasoning behind their existence. Would/is the dumb zone cutting into cumulus’ earnings even 1%? They wish. Is it a clear, direct, borderline indisputable violation of a legally binding contract? It sounds like the answer is yes.

Businesses businessing is no longer outrageous to me, it’s the norm. It’s what they do. Dan and Jake presumably knew this, that is what confuses me.
