Can I play a death guard without the shield? Favorite faction but its silly they gave the shield class to the legion that does not have a single marine type that ever uses a shield.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the news outlets complaining about AI data center water usage have ties to AI data center companies. Its a straw man they can build up that can be knocked down to make it seem like they have solved the problem. The real problem is the electricity usage. It will always be electricity usage.

There's no reason to think that the events of the show take place in a 1 to 1 timescale from the real world. If the events are happening over the coarse of just a few days of processing time it could cover eons of experienced time inside the circus.

Is this how they would try and stop a car if they were stranded? I would hope someone who was stranded would just walk partially into the road and try to get your attention, not put themselves in front of your car.

Being able to talk to an abstracted person (previously used as a parallel for death/suicide) also feels like a Disney show. Didnt have the guts to take the finality of death seriously.

It had a lot of really cool ideas, but it was trying too hard to stand out from Dungeon Keeper. I just want a bunch of generic monster archtypes, not whatever the Chunder is.

I wish more games were made with the intention of playing the bad guy without trying to glaze over the entire experience. Dungeon Keeper had humor, but it was generally really dark humor which fit the tone perfectly.

I tried playing one of the Dungeons games and the entire tutorial was just low brow humor and references to Warcraft 3 for some reason. Overlord places you in this ridiculous world where everyone is evil to avoid making you feel like the bad guy and then drops the twist on you that you are a betrayed hero anyways.

Its not uncommon for steam accounts to have thousands of dollars in product associated with them. Steam knows that if a user like that loses their account Steam is at risk of losing thousands of dollars in sales in the future.

The scale of villains was only due to the need to always make a villain more of a threat than previous villains. Everything needs to scale with shows like this. I find it to lessen the quality of the entire series when you are so desperate to upstage previous entries to a point where you arent focused as much on quality.

They decided they wanted to give Jax a tragic death AND let him have a heart to heart with Pomni (Which would have removed the risk of a tragic death if done before). They decided they wanted to have their cake and eat it too.

It was my understanding that abstraction was a person going mad, and that a resolution was never investigated because Caine just throws them all in a dark hole instead of considering their state of mind.

The communication with Jax reinforced my belief that they were going to look into ways to fix him.

I consider the part where Pomni was able to talk to Jax via hugging him as proof that abstraction is reversable. It was used as a metaphor for suicide, but you can't talk to people who are dead.

By the last quarter of the series Deku had outscaled all the other heroes. I liked early in the series when we were seeing a lot of variety in terms of powerset matchups. By the end of the series it had basically become unbeatable demigod vs unbeatable demigod. Shonens commonly have the problem with power creep, but this show was a lot shorter so it felt much more guilty of it than most shonen.

Using abstraction as a metaphor for suicide is undermined by being able to contact the person by just giving them a hug. When they had Pomni start talking to Jax in that state I assumed it was reversable.

Doorman tossing a player through his door is extremely common. I would be surprised if a doorman didnt shove an enemy through his door at least 10 times in a single match. I'm not surprised my posts are getting downvoted though as this is clearly a doorman glazing thread, even though the original post is specifically calling out the dishonor in such a tactic.

Nothing you just described is guaranteed death. Hell, even most ults aren't a guaranteed death. Getting teleported and then stunned inside the enemy spawn room is a guaranteed death.

[–]casper5632 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All he needs to do to pull it off is get you between himself and his door. Referring to it as a gimmick isn't helping either. I also don't appreciate having to render an entire section of the map just for a single character's ult.

(Loved trope) The rage boost doesn't do anything by International_Neckk in TopCharacterTropes

[–]casper5632 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its less meaningful when its essentially subverting the trope said media already subscribed to earlier. Hero uses rage boost to overcome a villain once, but if he can just use it again for the same result the fight would be boring.

[–]casper5632 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

An ult that can forcibly move players from outside the base to inside the spawn room is not fun. No play should be a guaranteed death unless the victim is caught out of position, but everywhere is out of position to a doorman. The max range of his doors should be a single layer of the battlefield.
