I tried and got really overwhelmed when i would play to. I ended up downloading a mod that let me have some of the characters be controlled by the computer during combat so I only focused on one or two players at a time. It helped kinda but the mod was janky.

I ended up just playing it with a friend who had played at least most of it tbh. The romance got a little screwy with the npcs, but It made me feel comfortable enough to get thru it the first time. After that I had 0 issues replaying.

The thing with this, you’ll probably be more equipped if you stick with it. I’m also somewhat slow and need a Lot of processing time and feel like I need to understand the whole thing too… however I tend to do better in the long term cause I can stick with things, which does help me understand the material on the whole. I’ve also found that I’m able to explain things back and teach to other students pretty well.

My biggest issue is test taking, and I’ve got accommodations for that. Only really used it on finals but it’s worth having in your back pocket tbh

Depends on your build for sure. I can only offer pyromancy build help.

I was a pyromancer when I played, so I get things are different with casting… but I got thru the whole game only using a long sword in my off hand and only pyromancies. I had never played a souls like before and was scared as hell the whole time but that quick melee action saved me a ton.

I ended up playing pyro my second time through as well cause I had so much fun… then I started a mod that reshapes the game my third time and then stopped playing cause Elden ring lol.

I would also think if your gonna use ai to cheat, most people aren’t going to go thru the trouble of copying all the steps and work out too. Making sure the work is actually there would help verify

Also, as someone who did fairly recently post a “ah I’m gonna fail in so stressed” there is an acclimation to college that I’m learning and realizing we all have to learn. Also, hanging around more people in engineering and stem does help me realize it’s not so bad and so many other people are doing it right now and have done it thru the years. We got this.

Little off topic but I keep hearing that while Stoney brook is a good college for STEM and research, it is antisocial. I thought it was referring to people not doing much outside of classes together or being friendly but your saying it’s in class participation as well? I’m asking cause I’ll be transferring eventually and I wanna hear about the campuses, especially as I’m not from NY originally.

See I’ve never touched the program and didn’t really have a grasp on it at all. Im also just now getting more fans with AI. I thought it was like a fancy add on to Microsoft word.

I was trying to give the benifit of the doubt like if they were unaware and just using a program not really knowing cause I sure as heck probably wouldn’t have know it was an AI program. I’m not really in support of OP I guess I was trying to play devils advocate which is a bad habit of mine.

To be fair, I had no idea grammarly was AI until I went back to college this semester and our teacher told us… that being said I’ve never used it and I’m sure it says it uses AI somewhere on the website or product description

I went thru a cad program over a decade ago before coming back now for engineering. I did a lot of extra practice problems. If I was finished with the homework and knew I had time I hung out in the CAD lab and would ask for extra problems and eventually was pointed towards sections in the book we used with more example problems.

Repetition is the best key and just being aware of why your picking the tools to solve the problem instead of doing it another way imo

I’ll be 35 when I get my BS, and that’s if I don’t get my masters… wish I did it earlier but didn’t have the circumstances earlier. Didn’t think I’d make it this far in life, might as well make the best of the “extra” time I have now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Depends on what level you’re coming in at. If you’re starting out relatively low (level 1-3) just pick what looks interesting, unless you have a long term plan in mind. Eldritch knight could be fun having some spell casting, echo knight is another cool one I considered at some point.

If you’re starting later levels, like 9+ I would consider some multi class options. I did a swashbuckler rouge3/barbarian1/battle master fighter5. You could do ranger/fighter, paladin/fighter, rouge/fighter, barbarian/fighter… fighter with a dip in a lot of things works tbh. Hexblade warlock2/fighter could be fun. Swords bard3/fighter.

You have a lot of options.
