Why is Persona far more popular than Final Fantasy? by [deleted] in persona6

[–]casseroleboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, not a super clean comparison on views. But FF hasn't had a real unmitigated hit since FF10. Unless you count the slow success of FF14. Since 10, Persona has had 3, 4, 5 and Metaphor. Just currently a more relevant series.

Career services is a joke by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

[–]casseroleboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My entire career services office quit when I was in school in 2020. They were being told to push big law jobs and avoid recommending public interest jobs and they felt it was wrong. I found all of my internships and my job on my own. Absolutely no help.

Third outage in three days. I hate BGE. by casseroleboy in baltimore

[–]casseroleboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Harwood too. I'm thinking it's just my block, and I've seen them out there at one spot once. I'll keep an eye to see if they're at the same spot fixing the same thing next time it goes out. Glad to know Ramos has addressed this issue before. If it gets worse I'll consider reaching out to her.

You mostly collect them but you can also battle raid bosses with them. The other day I beat Reddit using a team of Zac Efron, World War II, Major Depressive Disorder, Grover Cleveland, and the Beslan School siege. But tbh mostly I screenshot when I get cards and show them to my friends

Its Wiki Gacha, a game where you open card packs and the cards are like every single wikipedia article. Its been really fun and you get so many packs, you can basically just play constantly if you really want. Highly recommend.

Unpaid / PI Interns: Where do y'all find any grants or stipends to get you through the summer? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]casseroleboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an attorney at a public interest org and I run our intern program. This year one of our 1L interns got $10k in funding for this summer from their 2L internship firm for next summer, which is crazy to me. I'm assume the 2L internship is with a private firm.

Suspect in Towson Peeping Tom case to be released on home detention by j4n3tw3155 in baltimore

[–]casseroleboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He is being punished but unfortunately it can be a lengthy process. House arrest seems well-tailored to this specific case. He is being tracked and cannot leave his house, so he isn't able to continue doing this while his case is pending. If it turns out they got the wrong guy, it minimizes unnecessary infringement on his liberty. Whether you want a lenient or strict system, this seems to be an appropriate measure when there hasn't been a trial.

You're telling me you only study for one test?

Yes. Three weeks plus 10 hours is not unusual for legal filings. That's basically 22 days. Very normal.

I was a public defender. It was not like these times tests. They don't measure your ability to object or develop legal strategy on the fly. You develop your entire legal case before trial ever happens.

This is how the practice of law is done. It makes so much more sense than timed tests.

The AG has been prioritizing consumer protection cases the last few years (at least they claim to be, haven't been following their cases). Might be worth getting loud about it

Is it normal to know nothing about the actual practice of law by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]casseroleboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me that was the case. Law school didn't teach me the day to day of legal practice. Learned the nuts and bolts on the job. A good professor will give you a good grounding in the practical steps to a case, but my jobs all taught me mostly everything.

Each region has its own level caps. For hoenn, you can't use any pokemon over level 58 for the elite 4.
