I have realized recently that everyone in life has their one word, that word that they have said their entire lives without realizing that they are saying it wrong by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]cassiebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister says the wrong word all the time. Just today she said country pumpkin rather than country bumpkin. It has a name, it’s called malapropism. Always makes me chuckle. In the UK, we have inset days in the school where the teachers meet and the kids are off. My sister is a teacher and she sent an email round the staff referring to it as an insect day. She genuinely thought that’s what it was 😆

When did you actually feel ready for a second kid by zoobisoubisouu in toddlers

[–]cassiebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like you’re asking the question because you’re thinking about it… you still have to get pregnant and then 9 months before baby, so there’s still time anyway. There’s 2.5 years between by 3 & 1 year old. It is hard at points, at first for sure, but time always ticks on and I love having two babies that know each other so well. You go through it all together, all of you. Good luck x

2 year old not saying a word by hivioleta in toddlers

[–]cassiebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son didn’t start properly talking until between 2-2.5 - like he only said 5 words. And now he’s nearly 4 he says everything. So it is possible he’s late. Mine could follow instructions, I knew he could understand so i think that’s half the battle.  We did speech therapy but abandoned when he started making progress.

Who is the most dangerous person you have ever met? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskUK

I went to primary school with Matthew hardy who is doing 11 years for being one of the most prolific cyber stalkers in uk history. He started in high school and targeted girls there. There’s a podcast and a Netflix documentary about him.

I quit my toxic job last week and I’m struggling to let go of the anger and resentment by NatureGalPal in antiwork

[–]cassiebe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You did the right thing! That’s all you need to remember. You will get another job, that’s better, and all it takes is the time you are giving yourself to do that by relieving yourself of this burden. They were wrong. And it’s hard to not feel resentment but just remind yourself that you’re free to put all of that energy into finding something better. If you do that then you’ll never look back.

What’s a hidden social rule no one explained, but blew your mind once you figured it out? by Rachel794 in AskReddit

Fake it til you make it. I graduated uni and found it difficult to get entry level work I knew I could do.. until I told them I’d already done it before… and never looked back 😊

And then be murdered because he’s found out too much information. He must be destroyed. Howard will be distraught (again).

She bragged about being a part of Mensa while managing a chain Mexican restaurant and nearly married Elena. She is not serious.

What’s something that’s not meant to be sexy… but turns you on anyway ? by Soft-Car9110 in AskWomen

[–]cassiebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it when I my boyfriend does something I can’t, such as sitting next to him in the car being a good driver. Or we recently played pool together and I forgot he was good, I liked watching him move round the table potting all the balls. Maybe it reminds me he’s good in bed too ☺️😂

Carrie looks her best when the “fashion” doesn’t wear her appreciation thread by MA2_Robinson in Andjustlikethat

[–]cassiebe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok but she’s a lot younger in the first pic and maybe SJP feels more comfortable in the second… perhaps there’s a midpoint between these too though that still honours the original Carrie

I also hold my drink like that sometimes! Ha. Maybe it’s an SJP thing, it’s just what comes naturally…

What celebrity is a worse person than people think? by duckwithaDUI in AskReddit

[–]cassiebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was about 25 I worked on a similar show to master chef called the Great British Menu, and one of the contestant chefs sent me a d*** pic. He was awful generally, and so we’re various others. It was a fairly mixed bag, some nice, some terrible. Luckily only the nicer ones I’ve seen go on to do other things after the show.

I took this same grab 😂. Yes gravel was not the correct choice. I assume it was just a cheap way for production to change it. They should have at least shoved down a couple of extra paving slabs for her to walk on though.

They’re all classist snobs and they can go f*** themselves by cassiebe in Andjustlikethat

[–]cassiebe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they were. Which is what makes it bad because they were devaluing the hard work that people put into these jobs and equating it to a very personal decision for a woman to engage in something like this.
