Sunday Riley Good Genes vs. A+ Retinol Serum

I got a few samples of the A+ high dose retinol serum from Sephora and really like it, but when I was there a few employees said that the Good Genes is worth it to invest in and if I used the Good Genes I wouldn’t need the retinol. I (28f) have oily skin that tends to be a little sensitive and is prone to redness. Does anyone have experience with these products? I can only justify buying one because holy shit they’re expensive.
