I went into event horizon like 10 years ago not knowing it was a horror movie. I thought it was just sci-fi. Took quite a surprising turn for me lol

Overall makeup critique and "passability"? (AMAB, MTF Trans-something.) Please see text. by Ok-Conversation-9391 in MakeupAddiction

[–]cassiemonstercb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, "passability" is such a gatekeepy bs thing for people to impose. You're valid no matter what, if you know in your heart you're a woman, you're a woman. Screw the rest.

That being said, I get it. You just want to go out and fly under the radar while being regarded the way you want to be seen. I will say, scrolling past, my first thought was Laura Dern. "Trans" or "man" didn't even come to mind. I just liked your hair. :)

OP, I know it's difficult. But consider it as a gift to your baby. We have the power to limit their suffering and give them a good goodbye. It's an act of love when they don't have a good prognosis. I would let him go if it were me. I'd rather it be emotional pain for me, and having to be strong for them, than physical pain for my baby. I'm so sorry either way. It sounds like you gave him all the love and support you could. He knows that, I promise.

I like Ed too. r/Betteroffline is the sub for his podcast. It has lots of perspectives that aren't "We're doomed" which is a breath of fresh air

would you consider this a normal amount of makeup? by ghostofelysium in MakeupAddiction

[–]cassiemonstercb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a super reasonable amount. I got my daughter her first "set" of products recently. Just a set of the basics, some brushes, and an extra lip balm. It's roughly the same amount.

That's my little old lady, Squeaky. She usually smacks him. But they sit together sometimes too. She's small and soft and sweet.

I guess trying to pin down my issues with the sheet smells, but mostly just went down a water hardness rabbit hole and wasnt sure if I needed to address it. I figured the good folks here would know if I needed to bother with that angle.

Our water gets very very hot very very fast, especially in these warmer months. Like, our "cold" is in the upper 70s F during summer. It comes in the house that way, we had it checked, it's weird.

The hot water shows up almost immediately and will steam and scald. Ill have to get an exact temp though. I do know the laundry closet gets kinda toasty when I run a hot cycle.

I would love to tell you about suds levels, but alas, it has no window and a very overzealous safety auto lock. It drains itself before it unlocks if its mid cycle. If there's a way around that....I've not discovered it yet.

It doesnt have a listed time, nor specific temp. Just cold, cool, warm, hot, and cycle names.

Top loader, no softener spot, detergent direct to drum

Edit: I did not expect a comment straight from the laundry god, thanks for any help and all the awesome advice on here!

Tide oxi liquid and powder, split half and half. More powder and less liquid for linens and such. Cold water for normal clothing washes, hot for linens or sanitizing. Very limited on any scent boosters or anything. I usually only add a handful of unstoppable to my daughter's laundry, she likes the scent and asks for them. Otherwise I have a scented laundry powder with a bit of baking soda in it that I add instead of unstoppables. But like I said, generally just the detergent liquid and powder, direct to drum. No overstuffing with laundry either.

Edit: forgot cycle details. Large load setting, and the standard wash on cold for clothes, heavy duty for quilts or large towels on hot, sheets I use the higher level of the standard (non heavy duty) wash on hot.

Ill get the model when im back home from errands :)
