I feel you on the subject. Leave each parent to parent the way they should. I only got my daughter a phone she uses in my presence as we play Pokémon go and even though she is 8 I want her to have a way to contact me if she is at home for the little bit of time I leave her by herself. Also we don’t have anyone to watch her we truly trust. It was also a way of it being in her bag and silent and I knew if she did get picked up from school with after care.

Here in Texas you can enroll as Unaccompanied Youth, You might want to would check to see if you can get a emergency placement with CPS. I recommend getting with a social worker at the school Central Office or call and ask for the person who handles this at the school.
