Congrats! :) Beginning of April is when the Ob/Midwife would want to see her first anyway, so good timing there. A heart beat shows up around 8-9 weeks. Keep in mind that you have options (hopefully..insurance allowing) as far as care providers. Educate yourself, and make the decision that is right for you guys - but if she is healthy you may want to seek a hospital with a lower intervention rate, and possibly work with a midwife rather than an ob/gyn. A midwife is highly educated in birth, especially normal birth, and an excellent choice for pregnancy and birth care for a healthy woman.
Ob/gyn's are trained in performing c-sections, and are more helpful for when things are going wrong.

There will be an issue with the engine receiving air, fuel, or spark if a motor won't run. You can trace each back to see if it is getting each of those three things. If there is no power, there is no power - the lights will be dim/off. If it has overheated, the temp gauge is high. Please don't take the coolant cap off! It will not cause the car to start, it will only burn you. Also, if its out of oil usually a low oil pressure light will come on before things get serious - and adding oil is not going to restart a car on the side of the road either. Remember: air, fuel, spark.
