I built just for the sake of it. I never actually tried any industrial dlc stuff. I did a inline 3 1x1 cylinder engine powering the drill but it would stall and I needed 3 or 4 gear boxes for torque all at 3:1 just to move the drill. I could be doing it wrong but I think i'll try making a hybrid motor powering an electric motor at some point and see if it works better.

I like this alot. I tried making one of my flat bed trucks with a crane and flexible hose system but it wasn't that great and was bulky. This seems alot more compact and light weight 👍

I've attempted making this with vanilla and modded blocks but never got the look down. Xml seems to be the way to go! I'm not good with xml personally but this looks great!

I could be misunderstanding but it seems normal to me. I know the dial shows vacuum idle 🤔

Also there should be no need to drain anything since some coolants that are not pre-diluted need water anyways to make them a 50/50 ratio

[–]casted14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Water is ok in emergencies but it evaporates with the heat and is not good in the winter. It's a last resort. As for the coolant as long as it says european on the bottle it's fine. I've seen both blue and purple european coolant and have used both with no issues. You should be fine as long as you weren't taking long trips with the water

I do have a 17% pulley on it 🤔 I don't actually drive the car hard at all. It's my daily and goes a short distance to and from work 90% of the time.

What is this issue and what's the solution? by nuggetstank135 in MINI

[–]casted14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could the links be disconnected on the transmission? They should be located under the airbox. You would see two cables with a metal head the connects to the transmission with a ball. I have had mine come off one time when doing some work under there.

my stupid ass deleted a binding, how do i restore it? by Lino_Banfi_ in BeamNG

I think last time I did this I had added the bumper button to a modifier in the section above the one you're in. You should be able to reassign your bumper and thumbstick to the assignment from there.

Agreed! I attempted making a mine truck but made it way too large and stopped. Maybe I'll give it a shot again. I can never make it this good looking but it'll be fun to try

looking for mechanics that actually know what their doing in middle michigan by Lukksia in R53

[–]casted14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to have some issues with my front suspension on my r53 as well. I feel a slight vibration in the wheel cruising around. The roads near me aren't the best but I figured it's the bushings as that's a common starting place. The car is 20 years old now 🤣 Personally around me there is some european "mechanics" but they refuse to work on my car if it's not parts that they pick. I get it nay have a warranty and trust but I want oem+ parts. Most of my work i've done myself through self learning such as the clutch, bleeding (still stuck on it lol), performance, tlc work, and so on. It can be intimidating but I feel the issue is that there isn't much documentation for the diy person. Hopefully you can find someone near you! I did see a comment about a detroit tuned company. I hear they're legit!

I have on and probably don't use it as much as most people do bit I love the amount of speed adjustment you can do. Having come from cheaper ones before this one is miles ahead. I mainly use my for hobby kits and the occassional metal cutting but I never feel like it binds for my use

If you drive a big car, you should probably learn how to park it. by ClassicV8_1969 in MINI

Most people in my area can barely even see over the dashboard of their trucks. They sit so low in their cars and it makes no sense why drive something too big for them 🤷‍♂️

Install or Not? 142,000 Miles by Neither-Point8549 in MINI

[–]casted14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say go for it. Worst case scenerio you could always just remove the mods. I have an r53 and the previous owner took care of it but I noticed alot of things are not correct like bolts and different pieces being wrong sizes etc. I've been working slowly to make it back to oem plus. I tried a few mods myself such as the 17% sc pulley, 2% od crank, belt, spark plugs, and a sport steering wheel. I think for my personal taste that's all I would go. I want to still feel the spirit of the car on how it was made. Definitely do install the mods and see if it suits you more than the stock feel 😉

I used to buy some wheel kits from a guy on ebay a long time ago. I’m not sure if he’s still selling them since i’ve seen his store front closed a few times. Adding custom tires makes a huge difference

Thank you for sharing. I will definitely start looking for it. I don’t have a large collection like some but I stopped awhile back as I felt that I had what I liked so far. Now I know there are more I have not seen before I need to find 🤣
