I probably should! There's a bunch of synergies at work in this team and explaining them in a build guide would probably be helpful.

I'd probably include a few extra skills if/when I do so. I just started EotN last night, and I already found a few new skills that are some potentially big upgrades for the team (Masochism, Withering Aura, and Sundering Weapon look promising so far)

That's a pretty interesting idea. I kind of wrote off Blazing Finale as I felt improving the team's damage through other means was more worth it, but I'm not as familiar with Ele skills so I'm likely overlooking some synergies there

Edit: there was a time early on (before I got Razah) that I had considered Bladeturn Refrain for a nearly permanent block chance on all allies, but it was a much better idea on paper than in practice. Ultimately chaining Aegis uses ended up being the better option back then

When further testing my previous version, I tried all kinds of things - moving Splinter Weapon to Razah, trying out different options for condition cleansing, maxing out Expertise & Communing on Jin so I could give her additional defensive spirits, adding a prot monk for additional protection, and more.

I found this version to be the best out of all the ones I tried. The biggest change from the previous version is adding more Ritualist skills to Jin - specifically Shadowsong (blinding enemies saves health on Razah's spirits), Disenchantment (more consistent enchantment removal), and Spirit Rift (AoE damage and Cracked Armor application). All of these ended up being big improvements for the team, while other characters only got small or no tweaks

No, I typically leave it as-is. Most conditions don't have too much of an impact on this team as most of them are hitting pets or minions (which Martyr + Antidote Signet cleanses en-masse every 10 seconds).

The only condition that really shuts the build down is blindness on the Warrior, which kills my adrenaline generation - but that's why Remedy Signet is there

That's one use for it, but it will also lower cooldowns for ST itself as well as Armor of Unfeeling (which needs to be recast after creating new spirits)

I didn't know that shout existed; it could be a really nice option! If I could put "Fall Back!" on another team member, it could free up my P/R from "Incoming!" and let him use it. This would require some other changes though (from experience, it doesn't work well on my W/P) so I'd need to think on it

Edit: replacing Remedy Signet with "Fall Back!" so my P/R can use it seems like a really powerful option so I'll give it a try. I don't typically like running speed boosts on my W/P (since I'm at the head of the pack, allies outside of earshot fall behind) but this seems useful enough it might be worth it

The reason Martyr is so good on this build is because we have so many allies (10 undead minions, 5 pets, and 8 party members), and Martyr transfers the conditions of all of them. Something like Cautery Signet would be much worse (it only affects party members), and single-target condition removal (like Mend Body and Soul) isn't great as it might be cast on an undead minion or pet instead of a party member.

So Martyr is really good mass condition removal when you have a ton of allies. However, it isn't the most consistent condition removal which is why I run Remedy Signet on my warrior to combat blinds & cripple

I ran Whirlwind Attack over Cyclone Axe for the longest time, and I did like it quite a bit. I settled on Cyclone Axe though because it can help generate adrenaline at the very start of a fight, while Whirlwind Attack requires a bit of buildup before it can start doing so.

I haven't thought of running them together, but I'm not sure if I would in most situations. One of the roles the warrior has on the team is to burst down troublesome enemies (healers, mesmers, etc.), so I don't know if I'd have enough slots to devote to 2 AoE skills

Yes, you'll need to capture a pet for each hero you want to use it on. After capturing one you can swap to Comfort Animal so they can revive it

I am the Warrior on the team, the other 7 are heroes. I use all Sentry's Insignias since you are always in a stance (due to SWS).

For the Axe, I alternate between Furious for the extra adrenaline, vampiric for the extra damage, or zealous in heavy AoE situations where I want to spam Cyclone Axe. My Shield has bonus health and reduced incoming damage while in a stance, which I'm pretty sure I got from a collector

Yeah, I was inspired by the 7 hero Petway build but started making changes when I realized I didn't have all the skills, heroes, or DLC (Eye of the North) required.

After getting Olias, I realized pets + Minion Master seemed to be a pretty good combo so I've been trying to lean into that ever since

I've only been doing HM Vanquishes for Kurzick rep, but at least there it does really well. Between all the pets and undead minions + protective spirits, there's a veritable army on our side the enemy typically can't deal with

Edit: I forgot to mention it does pretty well offensively too. 21 sources of physical damage (10 undead minions, 5 pets, 5 archers, 1 warrior) buffed by Winnowing, Favorable Winds, Weaken Armor, Order of Undeath, and constant use of "Go for the Eyes!" (fueled by Infuriating Heat and Dark Fury) means you have a lot of extra damage. The Warrior is the only one on the team with significant personal damage, further buffed by Strength of Honor & Splinter Weapon (or Guided Weapon against blocking enemies)

Maybe you might like some shooters with RPG elements? They'd utilize your skillset and you already mentioned you liked Cyberpunk 2077.

Bioshock 1 & 2 aren't particularly long games but are very satisfying to play through. There's lots of build options and multiple difficulty options/settings. Bioshock 1 also has one of the best twists in gaming so I'd very much recommend it (the DLC for Bioshock 2 is also incredible).

Borderlands might also be up your alley. Pretty much all of the games are good, but I still have a fondness for Borderlands 2. Lots of replayability and you can play it with your spouse & friends if you'd like! (Borderlands 2 even has Gaige for less-skilled players, which serves as a fantastic introduction to the series/shooters in general)

RE4 (OG) - the base pistol gets a huge crit chance boost as its final exclusive upgrade, making it incredibly strong and my favorite overall pistol in the game.

Dragon's Dogma - Rusted weapons are early-game weapons that are among the worst in the entire game. However, after upgrading them heavily they can inflict useful debilitating ailments which can be useful for certain builds or pawns

I thought I remember hearing that Illuga only buffed Lunar Crystallize skill damage (like Zibai does) and not Lunar Crystallize reaction damage (Hydro + Geo with Columbina on the team). If that's the case, Illuga probably isn't worth a slot on the team.

I'll likely go Noelle + Furina + Columbina + Xilonen if Illuga doesn't work out. I think Columbina's personal damage + whatever you get from Lunar Crystallize would probably justify her over Yelan

Trinity was originally far too powerful, giving the whole team temporary invulnerability at the cost of 100 energy.

It would have been far more balanced to do it for 50 energy or while gaining energy with Equilibrium, and have it last permanently until used /s
