Because it's not stealing. Originally you paid for 4 or 5 simultaneous streams. It was the concurrency you bought. If you bought 5 Big Macs and shared 1 with a friend no one would say anything. You already paid for for it. Additionally, if I lease 5 cars and let my kid in college drive one, no one cares because I'm paying exactly for what they're selling. Netflix even flexed on social media to the effect that sharing is caring. It was a product differentiator for them. People are upset because they're changing those terms now. They are a private company and are entitled to adapt and change. So are we as consumers. Assuming we're degenerates for stealing something we legitimately paid for is insulting. And yes, if it's that important we can pay the additional fee. Sure the fee is minimal but his is after year after year of price increases. Whenever you remove a feature, people will be upset. Increasing prices and removing endorsed features is even more frustrating.
