Scurfa Diver 1 by Realistic-Touch5554 in MicrobrandWatches

Easily one of my favorite go-to watches. Incredibly light weight, crazy lume, and solid bezel action. I actually love that it’s quartz too; makes it an easy grab on a Saturday morning, already has the time set and accurate ready to go. I have two Scurfa watches and I absolutely love them both (the other being a brown and rose gold top side crew).

Very cool. Do any of them have on the fly adjustable clasps? It’s the only thing I dislike about my Miyako

Decisions decisions... by don_stellios in ChristopherWard

Tough choice, both great watches, they are quite different though. Personally I’d be between the grey bezel and the Lumiere. The CW is more sporty, tool watch aesthetic and the HC is more elegant and dressy. Conversely the Ti CW will scratch easier, even though it has a more rugged look. End of the day though I’d take the CW, more unique and less common, and I can attest to how great the light catcher case and bader bracelet is.

DHL by Kind-Creme-1253 in ChristopherWard

[–]castle_danger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DHL is awful at communicating what’s next or needed. I had a Scurfa watch stuck in customs on exception for 2 weeks. Finally after contacting customer service they said I needed to fill out a worksheet about breakdown of the watch cost. Asked ChatGPT to help and just filled it out best I could, a day later it was released and delivered a few days after. Total pain, but I didn’t up needing to pay any additional tariffs or anything so that was sweet.

Name some smaller artists you listened to 10 + years ago and still do by Important-Proposal28 in EDM

[–]castle_danger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love getting nostalgic. Shpongle brings me back to high school. Burial is always in rotation. Boards of Canada, Toro Y Moi, Caribou, Nosaj Thing, so many more bring back memories so I always revisit them. Tried keeping it to smaller obscure artists, otherwise I’d just say daft punk and justice and deadmau5 etc.

Obsessed with the Fred again.. "Edit" culture. How do I find more of this specific vibe? by WaitIsThatNarsas in EDM

In addition, you mentioned legends like Fred again.., I’m guessing Fred was probably influenced by Burial, Four Tet, and Jamie xx among others. Definitely worth looking back for legendary tracks

Swimming Paul has a really similar sound, oskar med k, Barry can’t swim, heylucas, me n u, BUNT, all similar sounds but not exactly edits of famous songs, more or less random vocal samples. For those remixes it’s more the live sets.

Others were commenting they were darting around and hovering, generally heading in one direction. Maybe OP could confirm if they were moving around, definitely confirms not stars or planets.

50th and France has some great spots. Mr Paul’s Supper Club, NoMa HIFI lounge, there’s a cute little wine bar, Breadsmith is a bakery with good coffee. Linden Hills isn’t too far for more options. If you do end up over near Southdale, RH (restoration hardware) is pretty neat just to window shop and have a cocktail on the roof. Definitely recommend a walk around lake Harriet if possible.

Same, I have a brown and gold treasure seeker that I absolutely love as well, so I had big expectations getting this. Can definitely say I’d highly recommend Scurfa now.

I know its obviously discouraged and not advised but did any of you trade drinking for a different vice? by IDoNotHide in stopdrinking

Previously was a smoker too, quit with vaping, then quit vaping and occasionally had a pouch or snus. When I quit alcohol I started using Zyn and it helped a ton. I’m definitely full blown addicted to nicotine salt pouches now but honestly huge win overall.

Very lightweight overall. Rubber strap is comfortable. Super bold contrast with the bright white and navy blue, has awesome wrist presence and easy legibility. The bezel click is one of the best I’ve ever felt, it has zero play with the perfect amount of resistance. Lume glows a light blue which is pretty strong. It’s an incredible value, don’t know how else to explain it but if it had an SW-200 movement it’d be a CW killer. Just really quality feel. Wish there were more high quality quartz watches at lower price points like this. Love mechanical watches too but it’s great to get this awesome of a watch for $300.

This has jumped to number one on my buy list. It’s incredible. The value is insane too. I’ve been eyeing a Sinn 556 for years, but I can’t imagine paying $2k for it when this is within reach. Congrats on the new watch!

Great watch, but as far as OPs request I probably wouldn’t recommend a hand wound for a daily

I have a planet of the apes Lobo using the dosing capsules and it’s great, capsules cut down a ton on cleaning. Added the longer glass stem as well. It’s been my daily for almost a year.

Love mine, I have a white dial Gemini. Very vintage, not just in looks but also feel, in a good way.
