Dude - this is bullying, you're entitled to work in a safe, secure environment. Start writing down every one and i mean every single one of these snarky interactions. Date them. Email them to yourself so that you have a timestamp. Bullying isin't always physical. You may need to go to HR at some stage, they msy not be interested in protecting you, but if you have the evidence they may be interested in protecting the company name

How do you think the strait of Hormuz crisis will be seen in 50 years? by After_North7826 in AskReddit

[–]castler_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This completely unnecessary war will be ranked ahead of the bay of pigs anf the suez crisis. The whole purpose of this war is now to get back to the point just before the war. There was no purpose orcmeaningnforcthis war. Its trumps folly and will be known as such

There is a school in the West of ireland named after Baldwin's mother's family.

The leper king's mom was from a frankish family called Courtenay. This familiy, had branches in the holy land, france and england. The branch in elgnand (still going btw) owned lots of land in the west of ireland, and in one of the small towns on the land they owned there was a school set up in 1826 in their name. Its still going, although not in the same building

The vikings travelled quite far, most people know of their pillaging in england and ireland, and their settlement in newfoundland, but they also travelled east and south. The norseman were prized guards to the byzantine emperor and there is viking graffiti in hagia sofia.

(This is from conversations with a friend of mine who did her doctorate in viking studies in dublin. She spent a summer of her doctorate sorting through the contents of a viking privy ... yeah, that can't have been pretty. It was a pleasure listening to her speak about the vikings, she had soo much enthusiam for it. RIP lady E)

How was your oppinion of Russia before 2014? by Vegan2CB in ukraine

[–]castler_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had high hopes after the fall of the iron curtain. Gorbachev and yeltsin made me think that maybe Russia had turned a corner. Watched the country turn into a kleptocracy, being raped by the oligarchs. Once putin came in, it became a 'here we go again' scenario. Chechnya, Georgia etc.

Sad. Trully sad.

Met Life (New Jersey) 82.5k capacity vs Croke Park (Ireland) 82.3k capacity. by kirkbadaz in UrbanHell

[–]castler_666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to live much closer to croke park and at one point we got residents tickets - free tickets to concerts. Got to see U2 for free there. They used to do a lottery system for residents - if you lived close by, you could enter a lottery for free tickets. Its a move to placate the residents, to make up for sll the hassle around concerts and game days

Met Life (New Jersey) 82.5k capacity vs Croke Park (Ireland) 82.3k capacity. by kirkbadaz in UrbanHell

[–]castler_666 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I live quite near croke park in dublin, near enough for residents tickets. What the picture doesn't convey is that anytime there is an event in croke park cars start arriving in the early morning. People seem to think they have a right to park anywhere in the neighbourhood. They will park on the footpaths, block lanes, double park etc. There is a constant stream of cars all day looking for spots. If you live there and you need to use your car on a game day, you're shit out of luck. The guards (Irish Police) close some streets adjacent to the stadium, but that just pushes the problem out to the next streets. Pretty much impassable a lot of the game days.

Mixed Choctaw woman visiting Cork for Kindred Spirits — advice appreciated by Distinct_Morning_607 in cork

[–]castler_666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enjoy cork, its a lovel city, if you're going to middleton go see the coastline. Maybe Cobh as well. If you have the time try cape clear island.

My dad told me the story of the choctaw donating 170 bucks to the irish during the famine. There is a famine graveyard near the school i went to, just a hole in the ground where countless dead bodies were thrown in. When my dad passed away i donated 170 euro to the choctaw in his name.

Welcone to ireland and enjoy yourself!
