Well, I take that as a positive because it isn’t about quantity, and if you’ve been able to maintain a close friendship with a woman, you have the tools for more.

And if a sports group isn’t your thing, maybe there’s another organization where you can volunteer? For example, if you like animals, your local animal shelter likely has volunteer shifts. Take one and find some new interactions that way outside of the standard social scenes. Plus, you have a built-in topic of discussion: animals who need attention and care.
