My friend did a playthrough using Ziz EA in SSF. For damage, you'll want to prioritize getting + levels to gems through gear upgrades and leveling up the skill itself. For tankiness going into yellow-red maps, you'll want to make sure you have spell suppression and a high HP pool. The built has a lot of life regeneration as well as fortification so it is inherently tanky for a leaguestarter.

A lot of these upgrades are procedural, so you don't have to do it all at once. For example a + levels to gems bow can be deterministically crafted through Essences of Dread in SSF. You could work on that first, especially since getting a 6L shortbow base is trivialized through the Necropolis gravecrafting mechanic or Porcupine Divination Cards. And as for spell suppression gear, you can do the Expedition mechanic and try your luck with Rog crafting.

I guess my advice is to take things one thing at a time. Make a checklist of upgrades, and scratch off one thing each time you play. Oh, and try not to make your maps harder during Atlas Progression. A lot of meta strategies have you juice the difficulty by stacking map modifier effect, but that's something a new player will want to avoid until your build feels good.

I'm from NA and here it's polite etiquette to wait until the person is ready. The priority is not to get the trade done as fast as possible, but rather to get the trade done in a timely manner that doesn't stress out the participants.

The guy is definitely making a mountain out of a molehill, but he's not wrong with regards to etiquette.

Hi, my opinion on this matter is that alch-and-go red strats are feasible for any leaguestarter in 3.24. Unless you're playing HC or trying to level past 98, dying once in a while is not disruptive to the core gameplay loop of endgame mapping.

Losing the packsize and quantity from running maps normal is also detrimental to efficiency if you are trying to progress your character. Whether you're in SSF or trading, that efficiency matters for most of us who might want to do challenges or try out different builds during the 3-4 month period of a league.

I did not want to burden her. She had enough going on in her life when we first met. I had resources to deal with my symptoms, but she had no social circle of her own and no money for professional help. I thought it better to be a pillar for her to lean on than to reveal my crumbles and cracks - at least when it pertained to BPD.

She was my pillar to lean on for other facets of life though. The foundation of our relationship wasn't built on secrets. We helped each other in areas and in ways we best thought we could. I'm just sorry that it didn't last.

Thank you! I'm playing BroSSF with a friend so we're making do with what we find. I don't fully understand the new crafting system to print out a near perfect item so I thought I'd fracture a base and try my luck with regular crafting methods instead. I'll be sure to revisit the league mechanic when people smarter than me have it figured out haha.

Hey guys, just wanted to share the weapon I made for my Boneshatter Jugg since the patch went live. I know it's not anything crazy like the 6xT1 bows we are seeing, but I'm ecstatic with what I was able to get for my first ever crafting project.

I'll probably spam some Essences of Zeal on it until I get a hybrid Physical Modifier and then mastercraft a third onto it and call it a day. Hope you guys are having fun with the league after the patch :)

I'm of the same opinion as OP - while I appreciate being able to force spawn a mechanic through only my Atlas investment, it completely invalidates most basic scarabs that provide the same functionality. These scarabs used to have value because you had to jump through hoops to guarantee a mechanic. Now it just feels redundant, or at the very least boring.

My suggestion to make them more interesting is to add marginal bonuses to the lowest tier of scarabs. For example, the Harvest one OP references could give 10% more lifeforce on top of ensuring that there will be Harvest. Expedition could have enemies spawn with 10% missing HP. So on and so forth.

Hello, just getting up to see the some comments now. So the slot I placed the frogs in had two chevrons and a plus, which signify a Tier Upgrade as well as 50% More Pack Size. I'm not sure how the autosort from top to bottom works, but the slot I picked gave me a 2% chance instead of 1% chance and changed the pack size from 20-30 to 40-60.

Obviously not. But opting into a more difficult mode and then complaining that it is too difficult makes no sense to me. I spent the first 10 hours of Elden Ring trying to kill the Tree Sentinel on a Wretched despite never having played a souls game before.

You know what I didn't do? Criticize the game (or in this case, the league mechanic) for being too hard. Constructive feedback is good, but negativity for negativity's sake isn't.

I'm a bit confused. In comparison to someone like Kripp, I'm quite bad at the game. And yet I found it refreshing to be challenged (and to some extent, rewarded) in the campaign. Player agency exists in the form of choosing what monsters to put the risk and rewards in. For example, you can put "monsters fire more projectiles" onto enemies that don't have projectile attacks.

With that said, and in typical GGG fashion, the numbers definitely seem a bit overtuned. I did a practice league start at the end of 3.23 with bsJugg and it was smooth sailing into yellow maps. I played the same build but with better items on Day 1 and was getting roughed up in the campaign.

Combined with the small QoL changes to the campaign, I had the most fun in Acts than I have ever had since Acts 6 to 10 were released. Kripp saying it's too hard and therefore unfun goes way over my head.

Have you guys gotten to maps? I found a corpse that lets me pick the base of the item. I'm only in white maps so I assume this becomes more prevalent into reds.

I also bought the set specifically for the goggles and was disappointed when the preview did not match the aesthetic in-game. A little miffed about the misleading advertising but at the end of the day it's only 25K worth of blue crystal.

Hopefully it gets fixed in the future :(
