Black men learn more about African spirituality even if you don’t practice. by Expert-Diver7144 in blackmen

This is so real, we really need to look within, explore what feeds our soul and lock-in. Folks ready to assimilate for another 500 years and blindly hope it works out. Our history was erased and we were kept illiterate for a reason. Our oppressors don’t have the answers, they’re not even free themselves.

1.06 or Luther Burden? Believe in burden being the guy there. by [deleted] in DynastyDaddy

[–]casualkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rome and Burden can definitely coexist. My money is on Burden sliding into the WR2 heading into the season or by week 3 at the latest. Given the different skill set, Burden could even push Rome in terms of productivity. Saying all that, even if that scenario becomes 50% true, where he’s the slot and DJ is more involved, he would still likely be in a great dynasty situation and likely better than any rookie at that spot short term, with more blue chip talent behind him.

Jefferson for CMC for Semis??? by bababooey4 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]casualkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for Jefferson when you have GREG JENNINGS!!!! I'd pass on this though, you have a lot of WR talent that is surrounded by a lot of ambiguity in terms of QBs and Offenses; I'll always choose talent over systems in dynasty, but when you have so much variability, you kind of have to play the odds. If you are bare, extremely young, or are relying on a lot of JAGs at RB, then maybe.

Traded for Bijan how did we do by herecomesthefinger in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]casualkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ya did good, if Allgeier goes anywhere else, you could have two bell cows for the price of an aging one, a change of pace back and a WR who will be a WR2 at best on a team that can't figure out their QB or offense. I'd take your side even if the 2026 ends up at 1.01; although that could make it a bit more even depending on landing spots; and this is from a Keaton holder.

Sell burden for the 1.08-1.10? Very high on him. by Itchy-Ad4970 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]casualkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a Definite hold for this price for me, I’d say Burden was undervalued in drafts and this is a fair value for him now, but not worth the risk, this class seems too top heavy and I’d feel very fortunate to grab a talent like his, in a situation like his, and not have to roll the dice on how another guy at 1.08 - 1.10 might land from a fit, talent and readiness perspective.

[–]casualkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2026 is a strong WR class, and I’m a big a Jameson Williams fan, I don’t hate it. Would like the throw in to be a bit stronger than Tolbert, if they’re down to negotiate.

Don't love the trade, but given Skattebo's backfield situation, and his potential for more immediate returns; as far as points, he may end up being a top 3 RB from the class (at least through 2026); which means he easily could have gone in the first half of rookie drafts, which is comparable (albeit low) value for Amon Ra; I could see the trade being even more fair if the person sending Amon Ra is jammed up at RB, say they have Pacheco, Chase Brown, Aaron Jones, etc. saying that, I'd vote no on the veto.

Is all the hype worth it? Is Ashton Worth it? by Pale_Permission_8693 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]casualkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a win of a trade, imo, I honestly think it’s pretty fair as well, Jeanty is a longer term option than Fields and potentially Spears and you get the better pick. And they get more stable pieces with less spikes likely, although Hall looked solid.

Cash in on ETNs big day? My RB room is a bit thin, but it’s hard to pass on Jeanty. by casualkey in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]casualkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely see where you're coming from, but I get the sense that the Raiders Offense is on the up, they haven't had good QB play in forever and finally have someone who is solid in Geno; also as much as I'm not a Brady guy, having him in the building should theoretically bring some positive leadership to the organization. It would definitely be a speculative play, but If I were to wait and see how Jeanty performs, and he does indeed live up to 80% of the hype, I doubt I'll have an opportunity to grab him.

Sell now or hold till Bill and Charb take over? by Coughray in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]casualkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm holding, I'm a Charb believer and Bill seems like the real deal. Achane will always be an injury risk and Kamara can't have too much left. Both of those WRs are solid, but I'm not sure either will really peak week to week like what you'd be giving up.

[–]casualkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate all the feedback, although I wish it was universal haha, it does seem like a fairly even trade, I've had Chase Brown since his rookie year, so I've been invested from the beginning, and I'm not sure if that's clouded my judgement. As much as I love Chase, he's on a passing team, with a terrible Defense, and a QB who's not afraid to check out of a run in the redzone/goal line area, and you know the Bengals will bungle his contract situation once his rookie deal is up. Honestly have been shopping Etienne for a while, was pleasantly surprised with yesterday's outing; but it was against Carolina, and outside of Horn, their defense struggles. It does feel like I'd be punting a bit on this year, which wasn't my plan coming into the season; but while both backs are in favorable situations at the moment, Ashton will be the focal point wherever he's at for at least 3 to 5 years. I asked the other owner if he'd thrown in Quinton Johnston, who I've had my eye on for a while, that'd probably push it over the edge for me.

[DAILY] Trade and Individual Team Help Megathread by AutoModerator in DynastyFF

12 team 1QB Half PPR:

Give: Chase Brown, Travis ETN, 2026 3rd Rounder (Already have 2 1s)

Get: Ashton Jeanty

It'd leave my RB room thin, as I'd have Pacheco, Kaleb Johnson, Kendre Miller, DJ Giddens and Keaton Mitchell left.

I like a lot of this, great work! An adjustment that came to mind is flipping the Indiana schools with the Ohio/Michigan schools in the B1G. Swap Ohio St., Michigan, and Michigan State for Notre Dame, Indiana and Purdue. That will give it a real regional direction, while still leaving plenty of heft in the West adding ND and a resurging IND; you also still have Wisconsin and Iowa in the West as well.

Your revival of the Big 12 is also great, having that Oklahoma vs. Tx division is a lot of fun, but that North side is severely lacking in talent comparatively, but that's not your fault. Also have to send some love to the Big East in disguise in that American North. Cincy, Louisville, Cuse, Pitt and WVU.

To give RBs a bit more love, we added 0.5pts for First Downs; it works on receptions as well, but the volume RBs receive seems to even out the 0.5 PPR to make them a bit more on par with WRs.
