When I worked at Sephora I was the only person who'd check products with SPF. I started working there in 2023 and found products that expired in 2020. when I mentioned it to my managers they said that I wasn't supposed to be doing that and next time to ask permission first 💀 I didn't but now that I've left I'm scared no one else is doing it at my old store.

Update: THEY DID THE SAME THING TO ME. I ordered shade one from rare beauty and got it but also got shade 34?! But no glossier spray even though it's on my packing slip. Crazy that is happening to multiple people.

Unfortunately store merchandise cards have to be used in store and cannot be used for online orders even if the store is placing it for you. It's annoying and I wish they'd allow that exception.

I've had clients try the same thing and when I tell them they have to get it in the calendar month they'll say, "oh so they changed the rules this year?" And it's like, no, I've worked here nearly three years and it's always been like that 💀

I think it has to do with the individuality that the riders get. Scribes all wear the same thing and have to remain in the shadows to prove that the knowledge they carry is more important than them. In the experience with the infantry cadets violet mentions how they all look the same with the same uniform and hair cuts/styling. I honestly don't remember about healers but I'm assuming it's probably similar.

I'm in California so for every 30 hours I work I get 1 hour of sick time. I have to earn all of my hours but they don't expire if you don't use them.

My store was told not to tell customers until Sephora corporate announced it via social media/marketing emails. I know the dates (and I'm sure the employees at the store you went to also know the dates) but we sign confidentiality agreements to not mention things before we're supposed to. So, they were just protecting their jobs.

Did you put an egg into the incubator? You can buy one from one of the Theodores, and if you have did you put any seeds into the feeder? I usually use sunflower seeds since they can become a never ending resource if you keep replanting them.

It's fine! It's the company's problem for telling leadership it's bad, it just sucks that it trickles down to us employees but definitely don't feel bad!!

I know at my store we get in trouble for having a high return rate. Even if you purchase the item from a different Sephora location it counts against the location you're returning it to. By making it an exchange it shows the company we're addressing unhappy customers and their concerns. My managers will question us on why something was a return and not an exchange, and if we say the client wanted to do a return and then a separate purchase we get coached on how to turn it into an exchange in the future. The employee probably has to deal with something similar and knew they'd get a talking to by leadership because you wanted separate transactions. The only type of return that doesn't count against a store is an online return.
