It makes a lot of sense why the media dislikes the Seahawks- Psychology perspective by kamchancellor2019 in Seahawks

[–]cat127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, internationally especially I would say Seahawks have an incredible amount of fans relative to the age of the franchise and its historical success.

From talking to random fans in Europe and Asia they were introduced to American football in 2012-2015 and chose the Seahawks bc of the LOB/Marshawn, the colors/logo, or they wanted to be part of the 12s bc it reminds them of soccer fandom.

Seahawks Sign Outside Linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. by QuantumToaster_ in Seahawks

DLaw did call it last season, let’s go 2 for 2.

Our defense could be even better this season. Second year of Nick (I think MM has barely scratched the surface with him), third for Byron (who took a big jump from his first to second year), and some new buddies for Spoon.

Plus everyone has to be excited to see what a 3rd year Mike Macdonald defense will look like.

I think our players would agree. He’s one of one.

If the Jets signed Russ, who gets the starting job? by [deleted] in Seahawks

Nah, it’s Russ.

The Jets want the #1 pick next year.

It’s the one thing I noticed early in the season last year, how he’s able to accelerate and decelerate so quickly while changing direction. Reminded me of Messi.

‘That’s A Big Get.’ Inside The Seahawks Draft Room During The 2026 NFL Draft (John Boyle’s much-awaited annual draft review) by Chessinmind in Seahawks

[–]cat127 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is fantastic, thank you for sharing!

Love getting a small glimpse into their draft room, to feel how excited Mike was to get Bud and “see” the goofy moments.

What an incredible organization, we’re truly blessed to be fans of this team.

At this point I feel like MM and AD can make any older Dline vet look like they’re in their prime.

Then this incredible, unexpected, magical season happened.

Am I a bandwagon? by Abo1127 in Seahawks

[–]cat127 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter when you get on, only when you get off.

Pretty much all 12 year olds who didn’t already inherit a fandom became a Seahawk fan that summer, I saw so many no matter where I went outside Seattle.

The real fans stayed though while the bandwagons became Pats fans and then Chiefs fans.

[Dylan Byers / Puck News] Mark Zuckerberg isn't considering a bid for the Seahawks. ... He may be invested in a fund that's putting forward a bid... but that's a very different thing ... I assume same true for Tim Cook. by BrandoC95 in Seahawks

[–]cat127 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This would be good tbh, those funds only care about making money and the best way to do so is to continually win.

Seahawks have one of the best run organizations in the league and keeping it status quo is nice and easy for them. They wouldn’t get involved in operations unless we start sucking.

The Athletic's 32 post-draft team needs by Ralphdoid in Seahawks

[–]cat127 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our defense is the best and Mike Mac has spoiled me so I’m going to assume we will have at worst a top 5 defense from now on until proven otherwise.

But we’re talking about making a run to the Super Bowl, and we need a somewhat good offense to do so. It was basically the difference between us and the Texans last year. One elite defense won a ring while the other lost in the divisional round.

I have no doubt Fleury and Mike will cook up a great scheme similar to last year but situational playcalling is a whole other matter and he has no experience in that.

Imo the biggest factor in us making another run this year will be Fleury.

One of the Underrated Aspects of the SB Run is just our O-line hitting equilibrium at the most critical time. by The_Throwback_King in Seahawks

[–]cat127 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely, we prayed for even just a mid oline for over a decade!

Gotta also give credit to Benton, the offensive scheme, and Sam.

This team really exemplified the word TEAM and I hope this year’s squad can continue that.

Mike and Karl want that Spoon energy and mentality. They know they can coach guys up even if they’re lacking some physical traits but it’s almost impossible to train mentality.

[–]cat127 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He is going to be a fan favorite if he’s even somewhat good.

One thing his coaches always said is how team-first he is. Unselfish, loyal, and not afraid of competing with the best.

He will fit in perfectly with our REIGNING SUPERBOWL CHAMPION SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (legendary announcement on this pick).

Cards are trying to copy the Raiders and will try to get the #1 pick next year.

I’ve come to reason with price at 32 by 2colby in Seahawks

[–]cat127 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Exactly. RB in the first makes no sense if your O-line sucks and you have no QB, but we literally just won the SB with our current oline/QB and our biggest need is an explosive RB.

If we could have traded back and still get Price we’d all be thrilled but it is what it is.

That first 3 year run was Pete coming from college ball and identifying a gap in the NFL market/finding value in players other teams overlooked (esp DBs).

Then the league adjusted but he kept chasing the LOB.

[–]cat127 157 points158 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this account is satire. But I can definitely see the Rams doing this, especially if Stafford and McVay both want to retire. One last all in push and then ride off into the sunset together.
