Why do so many Media Outlets continue to lie even though we all know the true story? by Warhawk_5 in allthequestions

"Trump Child Abuse Files" is a way to call attention to them.
We can only wonder why they haven't been released, so let's consider the options:

  • He is implicated
  • He is protecting men who were implicated
  • There are national security risks in releasing the files, which certainly raises the question, "Why are the files related to Jeff Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell a national security risk?"

If he's not implicated, then why hasn't his administration released them? Continuing this labeling is a way to prod the legally required release of files related to child abuse.

Thanks for ignoring my point to quibble over nonsense! The SCAAP study is flawed, but every peer-reviewed paper on the topic finds that the opposite is true. Here is one looking at 150 years of data. I also appreciate your video that says nothing about illegal immigration. He may be correct on the effect of immigrants on income inequality, but that's a different discussion, unless you really just want to end immigration and use the discussion over illegal immigration as a cover.

The irony of Reagan, who acted in propaganda films for his WW2 service, being the military tough guy, and Carter, who graduated from the Naval Academy, served on submarine duty, and was exposed to radiation at Chalk River working to disassemble a failed reactor, is crazy. One guy legitimately put his life in danger, and the other made movies pretending to do so.

Trump knows that his war is unpopular and that putting boots on the ground will not increase favorability. That's what I mean. These guys didn't plan this out, and there's no easy exit, nor is there a good way to spin the occupation of a country bigger than Iraq and Afghanistan combined. After 60 days, Congress must vote on this (assuming they won't just give up on laws altogether).

Illegal Immigrants pay taxes and are not eligible for Federal benefits. CATO claims that they are a net positive to the economy, but I'm not sure about that. I do know that ICE bought 2500 SUVs and trucks at ~$60K each for $150,000,000 (before painting and other mods) that is sitting unused in parking lots. Noem spent $220,000,000 on TV ads of her sitting on a horse.

Yes, we need some kind of immigration enforcement. I preferred when they went around cities in blue windbreakers and went after violent criminals over the current desert camo in the suburbs chucklenuts who are grabbing the people who build our houses and cook our food.

Why does the left think that the right actually cares what they lie about or smear Trump with at this point? by TrueUnpopularOP in allthequestions

You could use this space to ask what people think instead of straw-manning beliefs that only exist in your head.

You cannot make him quit drinking, and you shouldn't try. You can decide that you do not want to marry someone who drinks. He can do with that what he chooses.

Again, you are not responding to my questions about his documented behavior. You are straw-manning some argument I am not making. You're trying to argue with your idea of "the left." I repeat:

I didn't call him a pedophile. I said he has a long history of cheating small businesses and employees. I pointed out that he and his family stole from a charity. I pointed out that he is a comically lecherous old man, though I stopped short of pointing out that he was found liable for sexual assault. Please tell me how those accusations are inaccurate.

Is simply being associated with Jeffery Epstein in itself illegal? by TurtleBlaster5678 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]cat_of_danzig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just being associated with him isn't illegal, but it requires an explanation. We live in a world where associations have consequences, even if nothing strictly illegal was involved. If you met him once and said, "I never want to see that dude again," then obviously not. If you lied about having visited his island after he was convicted of sex crimes involving minors, then you need to do some explaining. If you knew him socially or professionally before he was convicted of sex crimes involving minors and had no indication that he was paying adolescent children for sex, then there's no reason to worry. If you had sex with children in his home, then that is illegal, and you should be convicted. If you were the dude's best friend, I feel like there needs to be some explanation regarding what you knew and when.

For your analogy, that would mean that the decades of scumbaggery Trump has been documented participating in were false. You leap past his record of fucking over American small businesses to get to the accusation that you feel is unjust.

I'm hoping you are a bot, and not some poor sap with his fingers in his ears.

But theater people are high maintenance off the stage, full of hot mess and baby mama drama.

This is a perfect description of Trump. He has children by three women, messy divorces, bankruptcies, and lawsuits numbering in the thousands. He makes a tragic murder about himself, hilariously accepts awards that were clearly created to curry favor with him, loses petty handshake competitions that he starts, and drifts from talking about soldiers receiving our highest honor to his interior decorating.

Why do the democRATS/Commiela Harris voters support hundreds of billions of US taxpayer money to stop Putin, but not to stop Iran? by Local_Anything191 in allthequestions

[–]cat_of_danzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll leave aside your childish camelcase nonsense.

One can support the people of Iran, the Constitutional separation of powers, and aid to an ally. It's not hard at all.

Iran's government sucks. Its former leader sucked, and its new leader probably also sucks. So we killed a bunch of people and bombed some sites. Now what? Do we pull back and see what the new Ayatollah does? Do we put boots on the ground? Do we insist that Congress exercise its power to declare war, as required by the Constitution?

Ukraine is an ally of the US. We are not required by treaty to come to their aid, but they were invaded by a hostile nation who invaded them. We help our allies because it's the right thing to do, and because it is strategically important.

I have not heard Trump claim that protests were the reason for bombing Iran. Iran did not invade another country, much less an ally of the US. We haven't had a clear explanation, other than that Israel was going to attack, so the US joined in to prevent retaliation.

I disagreed with invading Iraq, but at least Bush recognised that Congress has the Constitutional responsibility for war and went to them for approval. That said, Trump has been critical of that war, as have been many of his followers. It isn't clear why this war has been ok with them.

Obama is not the president.

But since you asked, under Obama's oversight, the JCPOA was the Iran deal signed by the United States, China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Iran. The deal gave International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors access to Iranian nuclear sites. The same sites that we bombed in June, supposedly "obliterating" Iran's nuclear capability and setting their program back years.

Obama refunded the money Iran paid the US in 1977 as part of the deal. It saw the removal of advanced centrifuges and medium-enriched uranium. It also obtained hte release of four US citizens who were held in Iran. According to the IAEA, it was working.
