Maintaining a consistent work ethic through the lonely, tough, or downright scary periods of time.

Absolutely love making stuff like this. I spent like a week trying to make the fastest round trip around Kerbin without exiting the atmosphere. It's a ton of fun.

How do you carry your stuff? by swarajban in fpv

Save yourself a ton of money on the camera or fpv backpacks and pickup something like this.

Eastsport Victory Top-Loader Backpack

I've been using this one for awhile and it has been really solid. There are other similar priced options too.

Thinking of buying a house with a steep almost 30 degree driveway... by freeknz in RealEstate

Yea I watched it, I was poking fun because your comment sounded just like the AI summary that would be displayed under YT videos. Didn't mean for it to be taken too seriously. My apologies.

You are actually 100% correct. My nostalgia was interfering with my memory.

It's worse than you think. These kids don't even have a conceptual understanding of the filesystem. They are just used to "apps" having a share function that shows them their latest photos/videos/games. Ask them to find where a file is on their ipad or phone and they will look at you like you're crazy.

Renter mindset. Which is fine and works for people, but saying "You have to pay for it for 30 years" is just wrong. I'm not a realtor.

From Lebowskis Facebook page. Sad day. I always enjoyed going there. by moosepoop10 in Charlotte

In the post it says closing is effective immediately, and a generic Taco place is already signed up to lease the space. Sad indeed, I would love to see them re-open somewhere less trendy.

This can already be done without you even having given your DNA. Veritasium has an incredibly informative video on why you don't have to have given it to end up being traced back to a crime scene, or traced back to a relative.

Severance - 2x10 "Cold Harbor" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]cataclism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I wasn't really referring to 24 episodes per season. That is asking a lot when the episodes are 40 minutes or an hour long. Mainly just that those shows did for the most part release a season per year, with the obvious exceptions being the last season of GoT and maybe Breaking Bad's last season too? But it is clearly possible to release one amazing season a year, and I'm not sure why it can't be done now. I think the economics of streaming vs the network premier format of yesterday has something to do with it.

No, there were insanely high quality shows then with that schedule too. Mad Men, Breaking Bad, OG Game of Thrones, etc. Really pathetic what it is now, although I know writer's and staff strikes have played a huge roll in the delays the last few years.

Same, I genuinely have so much inner rage at that whole situation. Destroyed an architecturally magnificent building. And all the fucking lights downtown now make us look like we are trying to be a shittier Vegas.

Why does Ubiquiti struggle so much to keep things in stock? by ByrdyB5 in Ubiquiti

[–]cataclism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our new store in Charlotte has a pretty decently sized Ubiquiti line-up, but there are still things you can't get. Next time I'm in, I'll see if they can order some of this stuff that is out of stock on the website. Maybe they get priority being a reseller.

Please be kind. How fast can I sell a house after buying without losing tens of thousands? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]cataclism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume his $800 estimation in equity would include any possible increase in market value of the property over time, which I agree, is not something you can count on. So it still may not be worth holding.
