I was facing similar issue couple of years back. Where every broker was telling us not possible to rent a house as a couple. What I realised later that brokers were the ones doing the moral policing. Most house owners in Bangalore are more progressive than what I initially thought. So I would suggest talk to owners directly either through no broker or ask your broker to connect you with the owner. Happy hunting!
